Got the hot lobster roll with a side of clam chowder and it was creamy, buttery and delicious. Limited seating at the counter so we took it outside to enjoy.

I do not understand the good reviews. Lobster bisque was too salty and lacked any lobster whatsoever. The muscles were gritty, dry, and tasted bad - threw them away and ordered from somewhere else. The lobster on the lobster roll was dry and bland. Overall not good.

Unsurprisingly a popular spot in a busy market! The oysters were fresh and reasonably priced. I tried the clam chowder which had great flavor, although was a little light on the clam part!

We got the #1 lobster roll combo with the clam chowder and a drink and everything was great! The chowder was thick and creamy, amazing! The lobster roll was the best we had in Boston and the staff were very enthusiastic and easy going! Loved this place in Quincy Market!

TRASH! There’s a reason why there is no line here yet the lobster roll stand across the way is 30 people deep. The warm lobster roll was an atrocity / they add insane amounts of garlic / and not fresh garlic / the tiny chopped jarred garlic which is so bitter you can’t taste the lobster. It’s two ingredients (lobster and butter) / I can’t understand how you mess this up. Original cold lobster roll has so much mayo in it that it’s chowder consistency. And lastly the clam chowder - ok flavor but the potatoes were rock hard / needed to add them at the end. Don’t waste your hard earned money on this tourist trap.

40 year establishment very efficiently, run! Friendly staffexcellent food. Unfortunately this review is going to bring more people. We came here twice on our vacation! That's how good it was!!!

The Walrus & Carpenter Oyster Bar, located inside of the Faneuil Hall, was a solid choice for oysters. We ordered a half dozen oysters from there, and ventured to other shops in the hall to complete our meal. The bar was very small and busy, so we opted to take our food to go and ate our oysters outside. The service was prompt and the oysters were reasonably priced. This was my first time ever trying oysters, and I really enjoyed them! They were fresh and came with horseradish and cocktail sauce. I'd eat here again

This was our 2nd visit. The have the best chowder ever. It has a slightly different taste and is delicious. You can get it in a bread bowl or cup. They also have lobster rolls that we did not try, but they looked good.

Ordered the clam chowder in bread bowl. Staff was friendly and professional. Wasn't expecting much for $12 and got even less. The chowder was well seasoned but had little to no clams and potatoes (see pic). The clams were chewy and potatoes not big enough to bite. The bread bowl was very good. Would probably choose another place with so many choices in area.

We got thr lobster roll, clam chowder in a bread bowl, and steamed clams. We defo enjoyed the food. They were all delicious esp the steamed clams. The lobster on the lobster roll was a bit dry but it was still good as a whole. I would've like some more clams in the chowder but the chowder itself was already thick and rich so it was super satisfying. The steamed clams were VERY fresh. It was an explosion of flavors every time you bite.

Thanks Jordan for the amazing service and good foods on our last stop in Boston! The oysters were fresh and the clam chowder was yummy with big chunks in it! A must have with a Boston Lager on the side! :)

it truly hurts my heart to have to give this place 2 stars. my husband and I have been frequenting this place for years, and have had lots of fun sitting and chatting with staff! but today, instead of getting my usual bread bowl, I opted for a lobster roll (which is $24, mind you.) there was probably 3 pieces of lobster in the whole thing. then I sat there and watched them serve absolutely loaded lobster rolls to other customers. to say i’m disappointed and upset is an understatement.

I really like the clam chowder here, one of the best. The lobster roll was not as impressive. I didn't like the bun

Do not eat the lobster roll here. The lobster and the bread are SO hard and dried. The worst lobster roll I've ever had in Boston. The price was not even cheap. The luke's lobster roll has same price but much better quality. please do not waste ur money
