Decent dim sum and great serving sizes, primary complaints are the undisclosed mandatory tea charge and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Otherwise, a pretty consistent dim sum experience.

Food is delicious here. Love chicken feet and pork & shrimp shumai. I just don't like the parking opposite side of the restaurant. They are scamers. The public parking that charge you $5 every 30 min. I went into the parking and parked one spot. The stamp ticket already counted 5 minute once you drive in. I gave $10 for 1 hr parking and they asked fr $30 deposit. I gave them total $40. I came back with in 55min. They gave me back only $20 and said I only gave them $30 total. So they charge $10 and return me $20 even before I left the car I confirmed that I gonna get $30 back right. They said yes but never did in reality. So be careful. Park somewhere else. They earn a lot in a day by doing that. If u wanna park they, record the video when give them money!! It happened on Mar 30,2024 13:38pm.

Excellent, authentic dim sum served fast and piping hot. Must try if you are an experienced Asian foodie.

First things first, they’ve stopped requiring a minimum amount for credit card purchases. I’ve been to Windsor Dim Sum for take out a few times now when I’ve wanted dim sum for dinner. They do a very good job with the standards. Siu Mai are solid. Tofu skin rolls are very good. Deep fried pork dumplings are also good. Sesame balls are first rate. I will say that the food is not heavily seasoned, but the textures and the preparations are spot on. So it’s possible the reviews that complain that the food is tasteless are looking for a less traditional experience - IMH [2nd generation Chinese American] O. Service isn’t warm and fuzzy, but if you’re friendly to the staff, they’ll be courteous to you. And the atmosphere is pure Chinatown. So for take out dim sum, Windsor is worth the trip.

The food here is so good! I love how fast and fresh everything is! This also a very entry level dim sum location! They have great menu and amazing service! This place is a little small but offer community seating which is different! Also offer take out! Prefer cash but take card!

Was excited to try out Windsor as a staple dim sum place in Chinatown, but I think the Bay Area really spoiled me. We were seated very quickly at our own table, luckily beating a huge crowd that walked in after us who were split amongst several large tables. We ordered way too much than we could eat, a common problem, and while it can definitely satisfy a craving, it wasn't fully what I was looking for. Most of the dumplings were slightly overcooked and thus mushy, although most had good flavor. I enjoyed the stir fried turnip cakes, as that is not something I commonly see on menus and it had good wok hei, but for almost $100 I would have liked less mushy dumplings. Would I come back here? Maybe, if I was really really craving dumplings in the middle of Boston, but the hunt for legit dim sum in Boston continues for me.

Amazing food. One of the best places to have dim sum in Boston. Unfortunately the place is quite small and you might need to share a table with other patrons.

I say this as a Chinese person that the food here isn’t good lol. The siew mai tastes like store-bought siew mai and the turnip cake gave me a headache. Worse still they gave me a pot of tea even though I didn’t ask for it and charged me $1.25. I asked for a takeout box and they gave me an extra paper bag and charged me another $0.25 for that. Omg don’t even think about coming here please

We went at 6pm and there was not a wait. We were seated at a large table and shared with other diners. Service was quick. They brought out hot tea right away. We ordered off the dim sum menu and the food was out within 7 minutes. It was hot and steamy, unfortunately not very good. The sui mai needed a few more minutes in the steamer, the fried taro had a burned taste, the other dishes were mediocre and bland.

A good place for authentic dimsum. The place can be quite crowded and loud, but overall the food and service is really great.

I really enjoyed the dim sum here! It was also unique in the sense that they were really crowded so they asked if i was comfortable sharing a table with other people so I said yes. It ended up working out cause I got to meet two cool dudes and we had a great conversation the entire time!

A nothing special restaurant with a few warnings. The food was, well, uninspiring. Most dishes were under seasoned and a lot of what we got, including pan fried dumplings and spare ribs with black bean were not fully cooked--can you say under cooked pork? Others call the restaurant cozy, I guess that's supposed to be code for small and crowded. Not a problem but let's call it what it is. Be aware that you are charged for the obligatory pot of tea that the waitress puts on your table when you get your menus. It appears that they charge by the person because our pot of tea (for 4) was $5, the same pot at an adjacent table for 2 was $2.50. Also know that there is a $40 credit card minimum. You'll only find that out when they give you your bill and try to pay with a card. We overheard one waitress telling another table that it's cash only. I paid with a card ($85 bill), and they gave a table of five young, 20-somethings a hard time over using a card (somehow everyone at the table's cards were declined until the waitress figured out that it was a credit card or nothing). I'd give the food 3 stars, 3.5 if it was fully cooked. Add on the surprises when you get your bill and the rating drops. Too bad after reading so many positive reviews.

Just wow. Dim sum is as good as the ones back in NYC. Nothing I could complain about—typical Chinese restaurant, dinky, but the food is great. A must-try is their molten egg yolk bun! Will be coming back :)
