“We were visiting family and at a little league field near Barrett's Alehouse in Bridgewater, MA. Stopped for lunch, and so glad we did. Our server "Jess G." was the absolute best we have experienced in many years! The food was also excellent as was the atmosphere. All the staff were friendly, kind, and accommodating; smiles all around. If there were more stars for service, I'd give them a 10 star rating. They have four other locations as well. “Tried Smitty's for the first time. Not a huge bar style fan, but love all pizza. Was in the area, so i crossed it off the bucket list. Was quoted 30 minutes for the pizza and ready when I arrived. Went with the Ultimate pizza. Good amount of toppings, didn't specify, but it was cooked well done. Decent overall taste. Some grease to be expected from the meat toppings. Sauce is okay. Crust had a good crunch along the edges and flavorful. Pretty sure the edges are laced. Very little flop. Ran the numbers on my scoring system and the pizza gets a Google 4, 6.5 out of ten on the scale.“

“Oh yeah, I recommend the Grove Street Tavern. The two bar pizzas we ordered were incredible. Came out of the oven piping hot. Talking about anticipation, eh? The steam coming off the pizza brought a cacophony of scents to my head. Ground chourice and red pepper. Nice crust that held up well to the toppings. My bud ordered a mushroom and green pepper pie. We reluctantly shared. The veggies and cheese combo with that crust was insane. The sauce was just enough for my liking. The beverage list was a hit when I saw one of my top brews, a Fiddlehead IPA brewed in Vermont. Ordered one up. I also tried a local brew, but this essay is not a beverage review, but i know what satisfies me. Can this joint get any better? Friendly and efficient hosts answering your questions, taking your orders, getting your drinks. Small business where the customer is both treated well and fed well. I know that I only had a pizza, but that is what I came here for. Maybe I'll try another menu item on my next visit, maybe not. Looks small from the parking lot but very qwell laid out inside. Clean and comfortable bar. Adequate space to move around. I suggest that you check it out for yourself. I might see you there because I will be back to GST. Addendum: As expected, I returned came 2 days later. This visit, i had them configure a sausage and green pepper pie. Marvelous. Nothing more to say besides try Grove Street Tavern for yourselves.“

“Went out for drinks and lunch with my niece and aunts. Our waitress, Meagan, was very good. To be honest, I would return merely for her. However, the meal was also excellent. Despite being an appetizer, I had the poutine for dinner, and it was more than sufficient. We were pleasantly surprised by the taste of every drink we ordered. I intend to come back shortly. ❤️“

“On our SSBP Travels we found our way to this Old School Hidden Gem? . We ordered some Beers ? which arrived Ice Cold ❄️ .We ordered 1) Pepperoni and Bacon Pizza ? 2) Linguica and Onion Pizza ?3) Hamburger and Jalapeno Pizza ?All Laced and Well Done .The Pizzas were so Delicious ??The Pizza Chef took Great Pride in her Craft and was very Friendly and Welcoming as was our Bartender.FYI ? “Our party of 20 had an excellent dining experience. Our waitress was hands down incredible! She was pleasant and not a bit flustered or overwhelmed. I was expecting a decent wait for our food considering the large size of our party but I was pleasantly surprised! We had 3 large tables and each table had drinks at the same time, all 3 tables had our appetizers at the same time, and all 3 tables had our food brought out at the same time. That alone is impressive, but the wait was no longer than you would normally expect. The food was great and hot. 20 meals and not a single complaint! Highly impressed with the entire staff last night, thank you Barrett’s!!!“

“Small tavern style restaurant/bar. Servers were very friendly, quick and attentive. A little disappointed in the foods but the service made up for it. Plenty of tvs throughout. I would say it is probably a nice little place to go for some drinks and watch your favorite sports.“

“Only negative thing I must say about this visit is that staff as well as the manager was unaware that they participate in accepting Open Table's reward cards earned through Open Table. In looking through the list of "participating restaurants" I selected Boston Tavern and made my reservation. When food arrived everything was great, food was good, and service was great. However, when it came time to present my Rewards Card to the waitress and explained it was for $10.00 and that I'd pay the balance on my credit card she looked puzzled and said she would have to get her manager as she knew nothing about it. To my surprise the manager came over and he immediately explained he knew nothing about it and stated that they do not accept this card as they do not participate in this program yet admitted they participate in Open Table. I found this extremely confusing and odd as I couldn't understand how they participate in Open Table yet know nothing about the rewards program that Open Table offers. He tried telling me I could use the card elsewhere as it looked like a generic card and said any other restaurants, should accepts this. I said no you are wrong, when I looked at the list of "participating restaurants" that I could use my rewards card with, Boston Tavern was listed, and I made the reservations to their restaurant through the same email from Open Table that I received my Reward Card. He went on to say at this point "well I don't know how we would even enter this card into our system for payment". I said the instructions are provided at the very bottom of the email that included the Rewards Card. Well, low and behold he wrote down the card number and went over to the system and entered it according to the instructions and returned with a slip that stated the $10.00 was accepted and therefore reduced my tab. Made for a very embarrassing moment as it was a Saturday night and here, I am arguing with manager over a $10 card that he should have known about!“

“Venus III is in my top SSBP spots. I don’t know, I’ve never had a bad pizza. They are always consistent and have great flavor. The cattleman’s chicken pizza and buffalo chicken pizza are my top 2. O definitely think they are comparable or maybe even a little better than the OG Venus. Also, loaded tots.“
