Garrison House is a nice place. My 3 stars do not reflect any lapse in sanitation, safety or quality. What I ordered was delicious and prepared correctly. I have a food allergy and the waitstaff was very thorough and accommodating.I had the cobb salad, with chicken on it, and it was delicious. I want to know what brand of bacon they use and have it for breakfast at home. It did seem to take an inordinate amount of time for it to arrive at the table, though. Granted, there appeared to be a shift change after we ordered. However, $22 for a cobb salad with chicken on it is rather steep, even in Brookline, when the portion size is as small as mine was. Further, we did not opt to order any $17 cheese fries, $7 cups of soup, $12 glasses of wine or $10+ glasses of beer. And then, when I got back to my hotel room I powered through every single snack I had in the place because I was still hungry.

We had a great time listening to live music downstairs at the Social Club. Up and coming R&B performer Andrew Sue Wing and his band mates were a treat to hear. Good food and drinks, as well. We'll be back.

Awful meal. $22 ea. medium rare burgers were well done and the cheese was an odd sauce. My kids wouldn’t even eat the pizza.

This is a great place to go with a crowd. Lots of variety on the menu and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and attentive. They did not have a record of our reservation for 8 people, even though I received multiple confirmations. Luckily it was not an issue as the restaurant wasn't crowded due to snowy weather. Drinks were great. Lighting was definitely very dim, almost too dim for my old eyes to read the menu! This was definitely a hike for our son and his friends, who all go to BU, but the walk didn't seem to bother them, and usually the green line will take you nearby (we didn't know it would be closed when we made the reservation). Food was okay, I found the fried chicken sandwich to be enormous (the chicken filet was way bigger than the bun) and the coating to be too thick and crispy for my taste. The Brussel sprouts side was delicious and we liked that they had a variety of sides to choose from that were on the healthier side.

The music room downstairs has a nice old-school vibe. I will be back.

First time going here. Wonderful experience. Staff was incredibly friendly. Drinks and food were delicious. It was nice because I noticed that every table was having wonderful conversation ... supports the atmosphere of “the” neighborhood restaurant for friends to go to. There were also parents with kids. We will definitely be back next time we visit our daughter. One of my new favorite places.

I really liked the brunch here. I went two time for brunch. The first time the egg benedicts were perfect but the second time the eggs were a little bit overcooked. Anyway, they were ok and the service was good.

I came here for dinner with my husband, and I appreciate that they label vegetarian and gf options. The pretzel bites were kind of bland in my opinion, but I don't like jalapeño cheese dip. The burrata with roasted pears looked good and they had salad options. I wish the eggplant pasta I got had more sauce, but the flavor was good. My husband said the steak frites were ok and he thought the salted caramel cookie skillet was pretty good. We experienced friendly staff and would go back to try the acoustic Sunday brunch.

Cool pub in Brookline with an authentic pub feel. Our party of 4 had brunch on a Saturday. Place was quiet at 11am and slowly filled up with families and some couples. The salmon eggs Benedict and short rib hash were excellent. Service was very friendly. Amanda was attentive and checked with us several times for coffee. We'd like to return for dinner sometime. The menu and beer list look great. We're fans of craft beer, and found the tap list very impressive with Hill Farmstead, Fiddlehead, Singlecut, and many other great craft beers on tap. We'll be back.

Came here on a Thursday night. Warm and cozy vibe. When we got there, the place was pretty empty, but filled up.The server we had was training someone and both of us worked in hospitality so we've been in both in both of their shoes. The chicken sandwich was really good, but only a couple of bits had the aioli. The Mac and cheese was disappointing.Unfortunately the service was lacking. We thought we had to be somewhere at a particular time. We had plenty of time as it was around 20 till and we wanted to be out by quarter after. We both noted about how the server never really checked on us and a table was seated next to us. At around 10 till we decided that we should get the check with desert just to be on the safe side... A table was sat down next to us and was being helped by the same server so we thought for sure we could put our desert order in and ask for the check.TWENTY MINUTES (30 total) since we decided that we would need to ask for the check because of the lack of attention, we had to keep looking around and fortunately another server came over as he could see we needed something.
