Came here about a week ago after hearing about this place almost a year ago. This was a date night for us that we were really looking forward to. We really loved blossom bar so wanted to check out it's sister restaurant. The drinks were fantastic. The food was pretty good as well. However, our server was not very helpful. It felt like she was annoyed by us ordering or speaking with her. Which is why I took the one star. After finding out this place is closing later this month, I could see how some other things may have been going on in her life. Glad we got to dine in ivory Pearl.

Delicious food. Egregiously overpriced even by Boston small plates vibey place standards. Maybe even by NYC standards. Left hungry.

We went here for valentine’s day and they had a nice cute valentines course. We opted for the a la carte menu and got the scalloped potatoes, bass, lobster diavolo, and saffron ice cream for dessert. the scalloped potatoes were phenomenal, highly recommend. the saffron ice cream for dessert was the perfect finish. however the portions were VERY small and we finished the meal pretty quickly. the ingredients were very fresh though, and flavors were well put together

Had a great experience on a Friday night. It was a little busy and without a reservation we had to wait a bit. Fortunately we could hang out in the bar area. The drinks were fantastic, crafted, carefully curated, and assembled. It was interesting to watch the bar doctors work magic. Staff members were very nice to a not their typical couple. We had one 'entree' and several small plates. Scallops, broccolini, mushrooms, and some others. All thoughtful touches that made something simple, flavorful, and interesting. We were satisfied portion wise, as we ordered enough to share. The things that sent us over the moon were the desserts. Finally! A place that knows what an apple cobbler dessert is supposed to be. And the crème brûlée with luxardo cherries was again something simple brought up to the next level with thoughtful addition.

Go for cocktails. Eat elsewhere. This place used to serve good food and had a great raw bar. Now, they overcharge you for the tiniest portion of the most underwhelming food. Ivory Pearl seems to have lost its identity. It’s trying to lean into the fine dining experience but falls spectularly, comically flat in that endeavor. Please bring back the old menu.

We ordered the sea bass, mushrooms, shrimp, steak, and the creme Brule. 3 of 5 dishes I would like the plate if kosher. Steak was over cooked and shrimp was middle of the road. Cocktails were primo though. Good place to try. Just maybe also have a snack beforehand because portions are small and you could leave still a little hungry unless budget isn't an issue. Service was on point. Water was always topped off. They do charge a 4% kitchen fee. It's a smaller restaurant. Summer they have more seating outside. Reservations are a must. Bar can seat some, but the cold wind from the door does permeate that area.

Came here with a couple friends a little later in the night, it looks like they were about to close early but they happily served us. The drinks here are insanely good, I can’t stop thinking about how good it was. The service was also amazing, one of the staff overheard me talking about an amaro I hadn’t tried and immediately poured me a taste of it, would definitely visit if you’re in the area!!

Cozy ambiance, tasty food, but also quite a rip-off. First the main menu: yes the food was very good. We each ordered an entree and shared one appetizer, and ended up so hungry after our first full order because the portions were so laughably small, that we ordered a full meal again off the after-hours menu. The beef katsu and red crab was particularly skimpy, and it was hard to believe they were serving this plate to us with a straight face. Second: The cocktails. Were they prettily served and unique? Yes. But so much ice was added to some of them that again the actual portion of alcohol were miniscule. Particularly egregious was the coco chanel - divine aroma and taste, but 3/4ths of the glass was a cuboid of ice that spanned the height of the entire glass and almost the width as well. Seriously? Third: the after-hours bar menu. Must be a completely different team than the main menu, and I would not recommend it at all. The lobster roll in particular was a travesty - $34 or thereabouts for, surprisingly, the worst lobster roll I've had with the meat so overcooked and chewy that I had to practically spit the meat out after chewing for a good long while as it had not dissolved in my mouth in the least. Finally, service: friendly and helpful, but the QR code menus were super inconvenient, and particularly annoying was having the waiter hold a tablet forward at the end and look at you while you chose the tip percentage. I think my tab was around $130-$140. If it hadn't been for the company of my friends, I would have been really annoyed at how the evening went down.

The food is good; the portions are ridiculously small. Think small appetizer pretending its an entree. Cocktails are sublime.

This is our second time here.. we’d come here initially when it had first opened. The food is delicious but OMG the portion sizes are microscopic in comparison to what we are paying for each dish!! Cocktails are great.. but you go home hungry!!

Food was solid but unspectacular, however, the value of the food was horrific. The "tapas" style dishes are incredibly small. We spent $150 and were still so hungry we went to get pizza after. Our first dish was $26 and was a literal single scallop cut into eighths with about 1.5 spoonfuls of mashed potatoes. Another dish was 4 pieces of broccolini flood with caesar for $16. Waitress was nice and knowledgeable, but the size of the meals needs to double or the prices need to be cut by 50%.

This is IMO the best brunch in Brookline. The dinner options are also great too and they are open late on weekends. Enjoy~

The meatballs were $30, the pasta was $35. The drinks were $36.... 2 people $200. Fabulous food. Be prepared to spend like you are a rich person. Classic small plate dumb price more money than brains spot. Delish and pretentious. Bring your wallet and al numb mind and you will love it. Asked for not spicy, got spicy anyways. Loved it and I'll never go back. Highly recommend if you have more money than brains or just want to burn money on really good food and then still be hungry. 5 stars for rich folk only!
