This restaurant is the best Sichuan cuisine in Boston. Specifically the mapo tofu so delicious. Must try!!!

Ordered chicken and clams for takeout. Almost every piece of the chopped/diced chicken had small pieces of bone attached. It made the dish practically inedible, having to spit out bone with almost every bite. A shame because the flavor of the dish was good and the amount of clams included was quite generous.

Tl;dr great sichuan food, good service, reasonable prices.Used to come here all the time when I was in Boston, and the always had a great time. The food tasted fantastic, and was very similar to restaurants china. Service was also great, and all the plates came out fast.

Food: 74/80 (90%). We got the dandan noodles, twice cooked pork, and stir fried assorted mushrooms. The dandan noodles and the twice cooked pork were both really good. The mushrooms, however, were very oily and quite bland.Atmosphere/Service: 8/10. Overall good service and atmosphereRe-eatability: 8/10. The menu was very big so I'm sure they had many other good dishes to eat. Is a little expensive (around $70 for three dishes).Overall: 90/100. Good Chinese restaurant, not my absolute favorite but would definitely be happy to go back.

I've been a regular at this Sichuan spot and always meant to drop a review, so here it is: an easy 5-star from me. There's something about the consistent quality of their food and the warm, family-friendly atmosphere that keeps me coming back. It's a gem in Boston, maintaining its authentic flavors over the years, which is no small feat.Recently, they did away with their set menu, a slight disappointment since it was my go-to, especially when dining solo or with just one other person. Given that typical Chinese dishes are generously portioned, the set menu was perfect for sampling a variety without needing a large group. This visit, we indulged in the smoky duck, a soothing fish soup, and some beautifully prepared tofu and vegetables. Each dish was a hit, leaving us eagerly anticipating our next meal here. It's places like this that make dining out such a joy.

I have stayed in Chengdu for more than 3 years. For a foodie, this store is really amazing. Basically 100% restoration of Sichuan cuisine. There are also some old Sichuan dishes. Yesterday I ordered roasted pepper beef and kimchi fish. I ate two big bowls of rice. It smells so good.

Food is OK but overpriced. But service from the mid-age waitress is quite rude as other reviews suggested.1. She tried to upsell us.We are a group of two ordering four dishes already, but she suggested we order noodles as carbohydrate knowing well enough that naan is coming with one dish and rice noodle is in another.2. She made a mistake and lied to us without an apology (most probably). After waiting for our order for 20 minutes, she told us that we have to put in the order again because of an error with the Toast system, not her. After we remembered all the dishes without given the menu, she said "it's OK. it happens." in a tone that we don't have to apologize or thank her too much for fixing the mistake. It really really amazed me that I have to double check with my friend to make sure she really said that.3. When paying, I was handed the POS machine to select the tip amount. She was staring at the screen the whole time! I really wish to give a lower tip like 15% but unfortunately the minimum was 18% while default was 20%. She left an unenthusiastic thanks and left without even asking if I need a printed copy which is also a first time for me while dining. In conclusion, I would never come back for the sake of this single waitress not to mention the food itself was quite average and expensive.
