Glad they added French Quarter chicken back to the menu. The flavor was all there, but they switched to deep fried tenders. It's a step down from the grilled chicken breast from before.They still offer a blacken chicken breast so there is no reason they cannot do the original.No we just need the crawfish etouffe to come back!!

Today is the second time in a row that I order take out and I am missing something in my order. Borders needs to put a process in place where someone checks that everything is in the bag. It is very upsetting to get home and not have your full dish. Last time I was missing the cold side of my fajitas (pico, sour cream and cheese), so literally they just gave me meat and tortillas. Today, I am missing the tortillas. And I don’t have tortillas at home so now here I am... Honestly. It will just take a minute for some to confirm the order is complete and it would make situations like this non-existent.

We really like this restaurant and have been impressed by the food and the service. I used to go to the Cambridge location frequently. This review is due to a strange situation this past Saturday. We arrived at 6:30pm, it was crowded but we were seated pretty quickly. When we were led to our table, there was a little girl laying on the floor playing with toys., not in a corner but in the middle of the floor. We literally had to step over her. Throughout our meal, this little girl, ran around the waiters carrying hot platters...she laid on the floor where they could potentially trip on her. Her parents sat at the table near by, watching her but doing nothing. I kept hoping a manager might come by and ask the parents to keep her at the table or at the very least keep her out of the way of the waitstaff Of course, This shouldn't be the restaurants responsibility but with the lack of parental responsibility, it was a danger for their employees not to mention the little girl.

Visited Border Cafe around 5 PM on a weekday after noticing they have brought back my favorite dish (French Quarter Chicken). Although not actually the same as before it was delicious. The chicken is deep fried breaded tenders not pan fried breast meat but the lemon pepper sauce was spot on. The chicken is on a bed of white rice and you get one side. Cornbread is no longer offered. The service was friendly, quick and efficient and the overall experience pleasant. My only complaint is the relative noise level which has always been an annoyance to me. In the end I am excited to find the new iteration of my previous favorite dish.
