Made reservations for Easter thru OpenTable. I called the restaurant to make sure it was a sit down dinner and was told it was with a limited menu. I then got a call confirming reservations for a buffet. I called and was told I reserved the buffet. The manager got on the phone and I told him I had two handicapped people in my party and the buffet wouldn't work. I could not make reservations any where else so we went. 4 of the party could not come due to illness. They added those 4 in the bill. The manager took that off but charged us $20 per person for a late fee. I will never go back.

Unfortunately, the price paid is not worth it. The food quality is more diner style, but the price is a high end restaurant. For example, we ordered the artisanal and farmstead cheese plate - it was cheeses that were definitely not what you would expect given the name of the cheese plate and the price of $25 - it included cheddar, gouda, etc. (Think grocery store precut cheeses.) We also ordered the scallop appetizer special which was $37 and was disappointed by the quality and taste of the dish. We would have expected them to be seared but rather they were more of what you would expect to get at a fried seafood stand. We love to try new restaurants but will not be returning to this one.

One star review is probably over rating, I consider myself to be pretty reasonable, understand that things happen and when serving the public you will sometimes come up short to expectations. I took my wife and two kids on Saturday night before the kids went back to school, it was obvious to me that things were not like they once were. Our server was quite pleasant, the saving grace, the food was subpar, my daughter and I got chicken Caesar salads one blackened one regular both tough to botch. My son had filet w/lobster and wife filet w/scallops, son said it was alright and wife disappointed. I paid the bill which was $280 + a $60 tip, I’ve heard my wife complain to a few of her friends on the phone of the experience, finally on Tuesday night her brother was at our house, asked “hey how was the Escadrille the other night” she proceeded to tell the story, he says why don’t you call and let the manager know maybe they’ll comp your meals….She called, spoke to a person who claimed to be a manager gave the name of Nick. Nick asked why didn’t you complain when you were here? Well Nick, we liked the server, didn’t want to sour the experience, and hopefully you will better listen the next time someone takes the time voice feedback negative or otherwise, regardless of when or how it is done. The restaurant business is tough, as a word of caution, often complaciancy can ruin what many before have built. So now your inability to resolve a simple situation, by making it worse with your pompass attitude gets the establishment a one star review because you suck at your job.

Absolutely delightful. It was the day before St Patrick's Day and they were playing all of the traditional Irish music live. The food was wonderful. Our table had sushi baked haddock baked scallops and my daughter had a gluten-free salmon entree. We loved everything about this restaurant. They also served a corned beef and cabbage dinner.

Don't go unless you don't mind MICE running around!! Called the next morning to tell manager and he said he's well aware of the problem. No apology or compensation!!! I recommend anywhere but here!!!

In many ways, Cafe Escadrille is "old reliable." The food, service, cocktails, and cleanliness are consistently great. It has a slightly nostalgic old school feel to it but remains bright and lively. My favorite menu item is the ahi tuna salad with the dressing on the side. It's unlike any other dressing I've ever had -- a little sweet, slightly mustardy, but tropical and refreshing atop the mountain of greens, fruit, cucumbers and tuna. My fiance loves the lamb tips over Greek salad. We love to mix up our appetizer order among the many offerings. They have an extensive menu with something for everyone and lots of great daily specials. Service is polite, fast, and attentive. Great spot that is often busy and for good reason :)

Kudos to Lindsey, out Server, who took "very good care" of us. Food was excellent and excellently met the needs of a patron with Celiac Disease (i.e., Gluten Free) and another who is MSG intolerant. Even the very large potato worm in one patron's baked potato did not spoil the ambiance.

We had a nice visit, but my friend didn't like her stir fry. The appetizers and desserts were great as was our waiter. I've been many times and I always enjoyed everything but I felt bad my friend didn't like her entree as I chose the restaurant.

I hadn't been here in about 15+ years until the other day-- when we decided to go give it a try on what seemed to be a fairly busy Friday night around 7pm. Shared calamari for a starter; it was listed as Rhode Island style, but most of the cherry peppers (which were also breaded? Unusual... I think...) were not spicy, and were sweet, which was a little off putting for my taste. I ordered the shrimp scampi for my meal and he had the surf/turf option which he said was ok. The scampi was pretty good, needed more cheese and lent itself to be very lemon/tangy sauce-- the bread that accompanied it was not good. It seems like we were maybe bringing the average age down quite a bit when we stepped in there... maybe it's a good place for apps and a drink at the bar? I don't think it's for me, it may be another decade plus til I go again. Things that you might like: -Our server was very friendly, helpful, and offered suggestions and told us about upcoming live music for St Patrick's day week. -There's plenty of parking, and it's right off the highway. -According to their website they have a private event space/private room for hosting a shower or party or something.

We fortunately had the room near reception to ourselves. Betsy was our waitress and she was wonderful and courteous. The seafood never disappoints and great value. It's my mom's favorite and we have been celebrating her bday and she had a fabulous time!

Always a challenge going to this restaurant because they have so many really tasty meals to choose from. There is a good wine list, excellent service and depending on your mood they have quiet areas or more social areas. Very much. A favorite spot for a festive occasion or a date.

We happened upon a fantastic table which was perfect for my hearing loss. We had never seen it before although we have been there dozens of times over the years. It is a ramp which goes up to another level as soon as you walk-in (across from the reception desk). It was so quiet up there and made such a difference in our experience.

The bartender who was working (Matt I think?) was less than friendly. In fact, it was pretty clear he didn't want to be spoken to at all. The other bartender, I can't remember her name, was LOVELY. The steak wasn't medium rare, and it was the most expensive steak on the menu. I do wish I had sent it back, but we were kind of fed up at that point. The king crab legs were good but did taste overly salty. Not sure we will be back - $400 meal not worth it.
