The butter chicken I had was overwhelmed by an excessive amount of tomato sauce, making it more like a tomato curry than the creamy, rich dish I expected. The balance of flavors was completely off, leaving me disappointed and longing for the authentic taste of butter chicken.

There are a number of things that are wrong here and need immediate attention for Royal Punjab to remotely stay competitive in the Greater Boston dining scene. Most importantly, the food needs to be better. The samosa chaat was the best item I had the food progressively just got blander and more average from there. There is no need to even make a tofu burji, which I only ordered because I had never seen something like that on an authentic menu. It wasn’t worth ordering, especially not for the price they are charging. Secondly, the menu is way too big. You’re a Punjabi place… so focus on that. There is no need to clutter the menu with South Indian options or Beef dishes which we know aren’t authentic. This chef should focus on Punjabi food and do that well, instead of having 100 items on a menu for a restaurant that barely seats 25 people. Lastly, they need to something about the actual dining area. It is not appealing to anyone to dine in a restaurant that also seconds as your office and coat closet. Clean the place up. The saving grace on my experience was the service, which was attentive and friendly. The food came out in decent time, but wasn’t worth the ridiculous amount of money I spent as one diner eating here alone. Indian people… don’t go with high hopes.Vegetarian options: Plenty of standard vegetarian options as there would be on any Indian menu

This is one of my best experience of a good resaurantI went there for lunch.there the place was clean and waiter with their uniforms were clean and behaving polite so one of them took our orders. in a moment later the brought to me Briany included season salad yogurt and some onion .I tasted yogurt that was delicious Chicken Briany was delicious and actually was.at at the end we got the bill and found it almost fairly and not so expensive

Royal Punjab restaurant is excellent at its food , serving and atmosphere especially. It gave my home food feelzz. Signature dish Chicken tikka masala is so delicious than my expectations.I really enjoyed mango lassi which is my fav forever. The food once I opened ,immediately it gave me cravings.overall I recommend Royal Punjab at your hungry, and it is the best forever.Thank you Royal Punjab..
Non-existent service. I walked in to order takeout, and the restaurant was empty. We called out to the back, and a lady came out, asked if we were there to pick up an order (we told her we wanted to order takeout), and then walked away to the back. We figured she was sending someone else up front to take our order, so we waited another 5 minutes, but nobody came so we left.

I normally don't review places, but want to put out a warning. This place gave me and my 3.5 year old daughter diarrhea for two days. The last of which was a major accident at midnight on the bathroom floor!!!Arrived at 1PM on a Saturday afternoon planning for the advertised buffet. Walked in to an empty dining area - only crickets, tumbleweed, and a faint sense of WTF did I walk into. Not a good sign for a buffet place, most are bustling with value seeking dinners. Opted to order saag panner and saag goat a la carte instead, assuming it would be freshly prepared. The entrees and rice arrived looking like weeks old reheated foods. The food immediately failed the taste test and tasted off, but against my better judgment, we persevered. The saag had a slight sour, and burnt taste that was masked with 10x more salt than needed. Is the salt trying to hide something? After a few bites, we left this rest. Check please and please dispose whatever stock of the disgusting food into the garbage bin please!I don't want to waste anymore of my time reviewing this place. If not for the diarrhea, I'd just let it pass. But due to to horrible experience I am letting the community know that there is nothing redeeming about this place. Horrible food, horrible service, horrible ambiance.

Biryani is not biryani its pulao. Chicken Karahi is basically chicken tossed in butter chicken gravy. Chai is also not good. I just cant stand why this restaurant even exists.

May be if they can YouTube and see how to Make chicken Karahi they might can attract more customers.Atmosphere and cleaned was also disappointment
