A really nice neighbourhood bar in Cambridge. Great service, good food and the rugby was on!

Such great atmosphere - cozy, dark, well lived in and everyone is friendly. One of my favorite pubs anywhere, and a Cambridge classic!

The way a pub should be: dark, cozy, lots of old wood and memorabilia, lived-in, all ages and classes.

A new little corner pub. A lively crowd and there's always something going on. We have a large selection of beer everywhere. A clear recommendation.

There ! I've said it. Hope you're happy, Peter O'Malley. I've resisted yelping the Plough for years because I like being able to get a seat there for a pint or two or maybe more. It's so comfortable as it is - because it is just a pub. But wait, think a one lane bowling alley with tables down the side facing the bar with someone in overalls playing something 'grovin' at the end while you chill. The there's the Cuban you can't get enough of to go with the black and tan. Add the locals, more music, Mary, the brews, weird specials and it doesn't get better. Get over the bathroom, it looks like that because it is that. Yeah, sure I'll have another.

Plough and the Stars exceeded expectations on my recent visit for a light dinner and drinks. Despite the bar being moderately crowded and us seemingly the only ones dining, the overall experience was surprisingly delightful. The Fried Chesapeake Oysters and Pan Roasted Brussel Sprouts from the small plates menu were perfect small bites with our beers. The brussel sprouts, in particular, with its crispy texture, savory bacon, and a tangy blue cheese drizzle, was a standout. However, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the New Orleans Gumbo. Despite its simple toppings of chicken, shrimp, and Andouille sausage, the soup boasted a rich and deeply satisfying umami flavor. It was hands down one of the best Gumbo I've had in the city, and we ended up scraping every last bit from the plate.Overall, a great spot for a comforting and casual Irish bar experience with great food and service. If you’re near Central Square, I highly recommend giving them a try.

What's not to love? Big fish sandwich at lunch and authentic atmosphere with the blues tunes, awesome service, and varied drink list - music nightly! Drop in and hang awhile.
