I ordered garlic bread and a large Primavera pizza, which is larger than the large pizzas at other pizzerias. The pizza came with a good amount of toppings, and the thin crust is also great! However, I would have liked the crust to be crisper. Overall, it was a good quality pizza at a reasonable price. They have a lot of options for vegetarians, which is a plus.

I love the village kitchen. It's best to call and make sure they're open, but when they are- excellent food and wonderful service. It's not fast- sometimes there's just an owner working, but old fashioned attentiveness to food and drink done right. Excellent meats, pastas, and sandwiches, but especially eggplant parmesan. And espresso!

Food is delicious! Only taking off a small point because the place could use a renovation.

I didn't even get to try the pizza. The proprietor on the other end of the phone was so rude that, when I asked him to slow down and listen to what I was saying, he hung up. So much for this local business. All in all, offensive. Fortunately, the pizza business is very competitive so there should be no problem finding a more civilized establishment to deal with.

Best chicken parm in the Boston area -- bar none. I also love how they have simple prepared food at the counter -- like thinly fried slices of eggplant; and spinach sauteed with garlic and olive oil. I'd love to try something else besides the chicken parm but it's so delicious I have to order it every time. This is a classic mom and pop shop and you can tell the owners are really passionate about the food they prepare and serve. Wish it was closer but whenever I'm in the neighborhood I make sure to stop in.

Absolutely delicious turkey sandwich for lunch, prepared with care--flavorful tomatoes and peppers, fresh baguette, perfectly toasted, perfectly seasoned, perfectly drizzled with olive oil and balsamic. Ate it well past being full because it was so good. Thank you, Anis!

We stopped before going to the Bryn Mawr bookstore down the street. Just expecting a quick bite.... we were marvelously surprised. it's a small place but dont be fooled by the number of tables. The ravioli that I had and the linguine vongole were among the best Italian dishes we've ever had. Truly superb. The sauces are not Italian-American; they are pure Italian, without added sugar or salt. Just beautifully blended flavors of real ingredients one could truly enjoy. Makes us wish we lived in Boston!! But we will certainly visit The Village Kitchen every time we visit relatives in the city. The Kitchen has a great variety of tempting pizzas on the menu as well but I know I'll be ordering the lobster ravioli EVERY time I'm there. A tremendous treat.

Absolutely delicious food! The pizza is divine and there are many other great dishes to choose from A great selection of vegetable sides. A casual, neighborhood gem.
