Great atmosphere and delicious food! Our server was wonderful - we were a large group and she did a fantastic job! We will be back!

Phenomenal seafood joint and the dollar oysters are quite good. Delicious original cocktails. The uni butter pasta was outrageous.

The weakest link was the chicory salad which was nothing special. (The other appetizer option was oyster for Dine In Boston and I was told only 3 oysters.) I didn’t feel the appetizer was good value which was what I thought about the whole meal also for $55. If they had elevated the appetizer, it would justify the price otherwise. The shrimp pasta was ok. Not wowed by it. My server was lovely and professional. She said I could choose any dessert from regular dessert menu after she told me the Restaurant Week dessert I wanted was sold out. And all staff were friendly and polite which I look for at restaurants. Not sure if I’ll return. Which is a shame since I like their sister restaurant Arden & Harlow and I wanted to like Waypoint which was a disappointment :(

Diverse, interesting menu with ambitious range. These folks are making the extra effort. We tried something new on the menu and server was very interested in our reaction, took feedback back to kitchen. Loved seeing people so dedicated to improving their product.

This non-alcoholic beer was really good. Of course, The Uni Bucatini was great.

The food was fine. The service, oof. We showed up on time for our reservation on a Monday night. It wasn't busy, probably at just over a third of capacity. It took over ten minutes for a server to come over after we were sat. My husband asked if an ingredient could be substituted in a mocktail due to a food allergy, and the server said no (though after some prodding he agreed to ask a bartender, who was happy to accommodate). After receiving drinks it was another fifteen minutes before our server returned to take our dinner order. We skipped apps because everything was taking so long and we were hungry. Dinner was served promptly. Well, MY dinner was. The runner gave me my entree, then walked off with my husband's and gave it to another guest at another table. It was bewildering. The manager did apologize. Overall, Waypoint has good food but is an exercise in frustration. The service is bad, the booths are too small, and no one seems to be taking pride in what they're doing. Even the patrons don't seem to care - a woman two seats away spoke on a loud speakerphone for the second half of our meal. If I were the executive chef, I would be furious that my work was being undermined by a front of house that doesn't care.

Food was good. Only issue I had was the service was lacking. When I sat down the bar, the bartender literally threw the menu at me not even acknowledging or greeting me. I chalked it up to him having a bad night. My advice is just greet you customers with a modicum of respect and this single diner will always reward with a decent tip. Surly service will reap a crap tip. Also, when I post a reservation for the bar don't jerk ne around. Have a seat ready for me with my name on it. I don't want to bar seat Jenga with late comers without rese

Truly wonderful meal, with excellent service throughout. Our server was especially helpful in detailing/double checking gluten-free choices for a member of our party (celiac). We're very glad we celebrated our special occasion at Waypoint.

The raw seafood there is always amazing-- really top quality, especially their happy hour oysters (and this time I had the hamachi crudo which was incredible). The rest of the menu is slightly more hit-or-miss; I love their pizzas, and have enjoyed some of the pastas, but recently had the lobster koji butter pasta and was a little disappointed: it was tasty, but really just from the overload of butter and parmesan, there wasn't much nuance/depth of flavor (couldn't really taste the koji). I felt similarly about their jonah crab pasta: good, but simple enough that I could make it myself instead of paying >$30. Overall I've been here many times and highly recommend, just occasionally I encounter a weaker item on the menu.

Visited this place for a birthday dinner. The food and atmosphere was good, but not excellent. We didn't like one of the cocktails but the others were nice. However, the food portions need to be more consistent : the fish and chips was huge, while the cast iron salmon was ridiculously small.

The food was delicious and the waitperson was helpful. The only problem was that the food was delivered to our table randomly so we weren't able to enjoy the dishes together and in a reasonable order.

best oysters around! great drinks too. the crab dusted fries are bomb. pizzas are surprisingly a fave of mine there! i like their cocktail "The Postdoc" and also the "Private Hugo" when they have it. It's a little dark in there, so I usually sit at the bar so I can see the menu.

Not sure if I already left a review I feel like I Rememeber writing something day of but anyways... We had a blast!! We both work nights and usually end up going out later than most on our day off. It was nice to be treated so kindly and not feel rushed even as they were closing a Monday shift. Henry was awesome and super accommodating. Didn't get the name of the other male server working that night but he was also welcoming/hospitable. Both of them were great to talk to. Henry went out of his way to brew me fresh coffee and teach us a little about Greek wine. Food was also BANGING. Made with lots of love and care. I'll be thinking about the branzino with fennel and tuna tartare for awhile. Great place!

Waypoint used to be a much better restraurant. This time, the food disappointed (stay away from market vegetables and mackerel pate) , service was so-so and the toilets were a mess... for a 5:45 reservation - the restaurant had barely opened for the day.

Made reservations for a group of eight on a Saturday night and had a lovely time. It was pretty full, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. They have tables of all different sizes, as well as seats at the bar. The atmosphere is lively, but not too loud. Our server was friendly and attentive, and our waters never went empty. Each couple ordered their own dishes, but we got the Flatbread and Brussel Sprouts as a group. My partner and I shared the Fish and Chips, Hamachi Crudo, and Crab Angle Hair Pasta. We also tried their mocktails, which we enjoyed. We underestimated how large the portions would be, so I wouldn't recommend ordering more than three plates for two people. Each dish was enjoyable, flavorful, and had good textures.Overall, it's definitely not a cheap meal, but a good place to visit for any occasion for quality seafood.
