The sauce is not salty and the noodles are really chewy?

Ordered the spicy hot udon, and honestly, it was quite mediocre. If I do come again, I'd probably order the cold spicy. But the broth for hot was rather tasteless, and the spice level wasn't that high (Japanese food to be fair). I may be a bit biased as I was just in Japan and Singapore last year however ?.

The food is amazing. The wait to get a table can be extremely long, but you can order take out without having to wait. The place is tiny and a bit crowded so I think it’s great for getting a light meal but not ideal for conversations over meal.

I hope this review finds you well! This line is not it. System is poor. Maximum of 15 people in the restaurant. If you see a line just know it’s an hour wait ur better off ordering to go or going to Cambridge.

Ordered the hot udon, one spicy and one regular. The broth and ingredients were good, except for the beef which didn't seem to be particularly good quality considering the price. The space is cramped and the seating is uncomfortable. We were on a hard bench with our bowls perched on a narrow plank.Service is basically an order taker who then brings your bowl.

Since my husband and I found out about this restaurant, we've always wanted to try the food, and when we did, the food and service did not disappoint. One of the best foods we've had in the Boston area since moving out here. We will definitely be going back.

was really excited to try after hearing about this place everywhere but can confidently say that this was really overhyped.we got the cold spicy niku and the hot niku. the spicy cold beef udon was so much yummier than the hot soup udon, but the portion size was so small and the beef to noodle ratio was even smaller. for $17 the spicy cold niku was just not worth it. it was also not spectacular and that may just be because i am from new york where asian and japanese food is always stellar, but anyways the cold spicy niku was by far the best thing on their menu and was just ok (and too expensive to justify for the okness).the hot udon was so disappointing please skip. the noodles were also overcooked and everyone hates soggy bloated udon noodles.

Ordered the hot niku udon with an onsen tamago, perfect for a chilly winter day. The system works similar to noodle restaurants in Japan, where you pay first then get in line, except here they still have to have a manned register instead of a ticket vending machine. This order ahead system keeps the seats moving well, since your bowl is prepared by the time you get seated. After ordering, we waited about 15-20 mins in line at 6:30pm on a Thursday. The broth was thicker than traditional gyūniku udons I've tried before, but was a welcome and tasty difference. The beef was well seasoned and paired perfectly with the dashi broth and noodles. The tempura flakes added an additional pleasant texture, and the onsen tamago rounded it all off perfectly with its runny texture.I do wish they used reusable chopsticks, since they are already running dishes for spoons and bowls. Or at least round disposable chopsticks. I hate the sharpness of cheap square disposables in my hand.
