Clam chowder was amazing. My party also order lobster roll and lobster mac n cheese which was very good. Great views and great service!

We came as a group of 5 to dine here and had the best experience! We absolutely loved this place, the service was incredible and the food was also amazing. We really haven’t had great service like this before! And our view was great! Was definitely a great find for our weekend Boston trip.

The food was ok. The chicken sandos didn't have much in it. Service was kind but slow. The view is the only reason anyone would come here.

Last week, my family and I revisited Pier 6, nestled at 1 8th St in Charlestown, MA?. Despite having been there nearly a year ago, this visit was dedicated to exploring their enticing fall menu. Our libation journey began with the “Paper Boat,” a delightful concoction of Maker’s Mark bourbon, aperol, and zesty lemon?. A must-try for bourbon enthusiasts, this cocktail set the tone for an evening of palate-pleasing experiences. The classic margarita featuring Ocho Blanco tequila, triple sec, and lime, along with the Piña Colada infused with Blue Chair coconut rum, added a tropical flair. Wrapping up the prelude was the timeless classic, the espresso martini? – a perfect prelude to a delightful meal.Venturing into appetizers, the Blackened Swordfish? Tacos? showcased a harmonious blend of flavors, accented by avocado lime crema and jicama slaw, earning a solid 8/10. The fried calamari?, adorned with sliced cherry peppers, earned a commendable 7/10 for its well-seasoned, zesty appeal. A visual and gastronomic delight, the tuna tartare with avocado?, mango , chili oil, and wontons stood out as a favorite, offering a delightful sharing experience.Transitioning to the main course, the grilled hanger steak with broccoli and watercress salad proved to be a satisfactory choice, meriting a 7/10. However, stealing the spotlight were the pan-seared scallops, sautéed in a vegetable succotash and complemented by a citrus carrot? purée – a truly decadent delight deserving of a 9/10.Equally impressive was the grilled swordfish, accompanied by Israeli couscous, mussels, cherry tomatoes, and a green olive chimichurri. The flavorful couscous and impeccably fresh swordfish earned this dish a solid 9/10. Concluding the entrees, the seafood fry diavolo ?, boasting linguine, spicy pomodoro sauce, mussels, and shrimp?, though not overly spicy, delivered a tasty experience with well-cooked mussels and shrimp, earning a respectable 7/10.Beyond the culinary delights, Pier 6 offers a breathtaking? view of Boston, coupled with an intimate ambiance. This gem in Charlestown deserves a visit for its excellent dishes and overall dining experience.Food: 8/10 Affordability: 7/10 Ambiance: 8/10

Many condo owners in Charlestown told me Pier 6 is their favorite restaurant . Our Server Shirley was lots of big smiles, and quick service which we needed to catch a ferry. David also was helping everywhere, from bus tables, to helping deliver our meals. Also lots of big smiles, and all wearing clean uniforms. The Steak lunch was enough for two to split. And so good. Thanks again, can t wait to return. Wahoooooo Pier 6 in Charlestown MA>

Not much to say besides how great the food was, the casual yet upscale atmosphere which translated to the food as well. Never had a warm lobster roll or clam chowder that tasted any better than it did here. Delicious spicy margarita too! Great views!

Beautiful view with some good seafood. Nice table setting and quick service, they don't validate parking . Parking is a bit pricy.

This place was highly recommended for great seafood and wonderful views. The views were good enough. But the food left a lot to be desired. The selection of seafood was very limited. There was no local fish at all. There were swordfish tacos that were pretty good. Most of us ended up ordering seared scallops. They cost $39, and when they arrived, there were three somewhat small scallops that came with microgreens and an interesting succotash. The scallops were a bit on the chewy side, somewhat tasty, but not worth $13 each! One of us ordered the Brussel sprouts, and they were quite good. The service was subpar. Our server was not especially pleasant, and not at all attentive. She breezed by once to see if everything tasted good (before I had had a chance to bite into the scallops). Then she didn't return until much later when one of us tracked her down to refill the water. She was quite surly after that. All of the servers spent their time at the bussing station visiting with one another with what looked like a party atmosphere. For an upscale restaurant, the service was quite poor. If all you want is a drink, maybe some bar food, and some good views, you might try this place. But there is far better food to be obtained in any number of other restaurants nearby. And the service will be better too! (Just as an example, we went earlier to the Warren Tavern in midafternoon. They were slammed, and the servers were literally running to fill orders and try to satisfy the customers. Yet they were still pleasant. I'll probably review that place just for contrast.)

Food was really good, scallops fantastic, the lobster roll had a little more butter than I usually like but it was really good as well, I’m not a salad person but the cease salad here is delicious, Valeria our server was fantastic, knowledgeable, made great recommendations and even made small talks with us, a server that keeps you entertained is always better.

Pier 6 is a great choice for a restaurant in Charlestown whether you’re getting brunch or grabbing drinks with your friends. Pier 6 is beautiful views, both at night and during the day! Plenty of seating, inside and out. The menu has plenty of classic staples with some inventive twists on a few dishes! There’s a parking lot you can pay for, but it can get a little pricey. Parking will be tough to find in Charlestown.
