AN ABSOLUTELY MUST DO! 5 STARS! One of my Favorite New Restaurants in Boston. The Food here is DELICIOUS. Chef Ronsky's is located in the Chestnut Hill Mall in Chestnut Hill MA right next to The Star Market. So Parking here is FREE & is in a Shared Space with the other mall shops. So right there you're going to Save a Few Bucks. The restaurant is tiny but you know what they say Big Things come in Small Packages. They have both interior & exterior dining with table & chairs & a counter inside as well. Inside is a very eclectic mix of Modern & somebody's Grandmother's House. The Dinnerware is a collection of Vintage miss matched Grandma plates. We all loved the homeyness feeling they brought to the space. They start you off with a dish of Olives that were Very Tasty. There is no complimentary bread. We ordered the Caramelized Onion Bread you pay for this. Don't even get me started. I could eat loaves of that home made warm bread with those caramelized onions on top DELICIOUS! The Misto Salad was Crisp & Fresh & Tasty! The Fish was Melt in your mouth Yummy. The Lasagna was our least favorite - a little to Nuvo for us. We like the more Classic Flavor when it comes to Red Sauce. The Coffee & Cappuccino & Desserts are all Fantastic! In 2018 Ronsky won The Best of Boston. They started off serving Desserts & then elevated into a full fledged restaurant. You make your reservations online. They serve Traditional Italian Food but with a Nuvo twist to all their meals. We ate here twice; The Food was that Good. It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

Wonderful experience recently at Chef Ronsky’s. He agreed on relatively short notice to open up his kitchen one night to host a private party for 4 to celebrate my daughter’s engagement earlier in the day. He prepared an incredible 5-course meal, including a black truffle risotto and red wine braised short ribs, with wine pairings that absolutely blew us away. The service was impeccable, too. Basically it was like sitting at your own private chef’s table and having the restaurant and chef to yourself for the night. What a romantic, fun, enjoyable and delicious meal! Ron helped make it a special day and night that my daughter and future son-in-law will always remember and never forget. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an intimate setting and amazing food.

Picked up some take out house-made potato gnocchi with wild mushroom ragu...it was awesome! Those gnocchi were the perfect tender pillows! We will be back!
After several fine meals at Chef Ronsky's, last Sunday we had a wonderful takeaway Mother's Day dinner. We started with tangy onion foccacia, followed by a four cheese lasagna, that was remarkably light, and an earthy braised short rib dish with rice and carrots. This was accompanied by a mixed salad, which was fresh but uninteresting. Chef Ronsky's bread pudding is the best dessert, even for someone like myself who would not consider bread pudding for dessert anywhere else - a real custard pudding.

wow!! In these trying times Ronsky's is offering a pick up service that is a joy to consume. I had some trouble figuring out the web site url but it went smooth once I got the hang of it. We ordered Tuesday for a 2:00pm wednesday pick-up...so far so good. I picked up short ribs, shrimp scampi, broccolini, and potatoes on time and warm in tin trays...so far so good. once dinner time rolled around I portioned the scampi, potatoes and brocolini and heated them up...so far so good. Served up the meal and I thought I had gone to heaven! Scampi had the perfect garlic flavor, not too much not too little...yum. Broccolini had a slight crispiness with perfect seasoning. I had to add a little salt and pepper to the potatoes however I have been told I overseason everything! I am officailly ashamed of my cooking now. ON to the short ribs tonight...so far so good.

The food is amazing - delicious sandwiches and pastries that are to-die-for! The atmosphere is wonderful - if I could, I would stay there and read or just stare out of the window all day long.
