A pretty good selection of items and for the most part at very fair prices. It is a mid size store but you have a lot of the key items one would look for. There are fresh and frozen items as well as pantry and ready to eat prepared meals. The service was very friendly, and for the most part many items were not expired but it's always good to check as some things may sit more than others. Parking was easy and a private lot. I will most certainly return here again in the future.

If you are looking for Polish specialties, this is the place.
First visit observation: good selection of meats, treats & canned/jar foods like sauerkraut. Pre-made dishes ready to warm at home, as well.Only criticism: efficient workers behind the counter, but maybe just a smile to the new customers?We'll try to visit again. What we bought was really good.

Went there for the second time while on a business trip. One of the women behind the counter (the stary pryk wearing black leggings with the terrible attitude) took my order for a sandwich. I ordered a three meat sandwich which she made intentionally omitting two of the meats. When I told her that I wanted three meats on my sandwich her response was “You want three meats, really!” It was as if she didn’t realize that she was working in deli and sometimes people will actually combine meats together on their sandwich. It would not have been such a problem except she charged me for a three meat sandwich which was significantly more expensive. Also, she made an incredibly rude comment to her coworker about my wife and I in Polish not realizing that I am also Polish. You should have seen the look on her face when she took my credit card and realized that I am also Polish. Worse than all of that what she did was commit credit card fraud. I told her very plainly that I want three meats and she gave a verbal confirmation. So be very careful about doing business with these people. You might just get ripped off like my wife and I.

We got our Easter Kielbasa here (we'd never gotten any here before) and we were blown away. I grew up eating blue seal and Falls provision, but Bernat's is so much better.

Nice store with all authentic homemade Polish food from deli meats, frozen pierogi to go, golumpki, kielbasa, breads, jams, imported Polish cookies, all kinds of snack foods to candy bars and hand painted Polish wooden eggs. This is just a starting list of what Bernats has to offer. If traveling through Chicopee, Bernat's is worth the stop.
