The entire bar has been remodeled and updated. This is not the Septembers or View Street of years ago.We had dinner there tonight and started with fried pickles and they were awesome. My wife had the chicken wings that were also very, very good; not over cooked. They're soaked in a brine to help them crisp up and bring out a great flavor, without the breading. They were 10/10.The owner, of Portugese dissent, made me a soon to be posted dish of spicy shrimp, or shrimp Mozambique. This was another 10/10. This was very reminiscent of The Red Fez's spicy shrimp. Grilled bread to soak up the sauce and just the right amount of spiciness.Service wise, it wasn't very busy, as it was a Sunday evening, but either way, the bartender and staff did a great job and they were very attentive. The current menu is a mix of a Portuguese cuisine and bar fare. What I saw come out of the kitchen were good sized portions and well presented dishes.We will certainly be going back soon and look forward to the expansion of their menu.

I've been to View Street times and keep forgetting to do a review. The food here is great, the staff is very nice, the drinks are great. Tonight we had the chicken teriyaki Alfredo is was delicious and such a big portion was able to eat it die 2 days. I also had the honey jalapeño bone-in wings they were very tasty and great size very meaty. The view street burger was another meal we ordered and it was delicious as well the burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy and salty just how i like them. The burgers here are awesome i have had them more than once. Also the Portuguese food is delicious . Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Newly, beautifully renovated restaurant/bar, it is more a Family/Community Restaurant. Immaculately clean establishment, this is the place to bring the whole family. The View Street Tavern offers spatial areas to have community events, association, and club get-togethers, etc. The restaurant has a variably changing menu that caters to all...as well as a bar, pool tables, and a beautiful vista of the Connecticut Valley. Situated in a nice neighborhood, in an uncrowded area, it offers free parking to patrons. The chef provides excellently prepared food and the bar provides any kind of mixed drink. A bar counter is provided for food and drink while watching TV sports if that is of interest. Bring your friends and family. You won't be disappointed. Upstairs is The Loft Comedy Club for adults that want some local entertainment.Parking: Free parking, moderate size.Kid-friendliness: Perfect place for the whole family.Wheelchair accessibility: The tavern is on the parking lot level.

This is one of those places I didn't know exisisted. Food was great, prices very fair, plenty of room and atmosphere. Deck was not open due to renovations but..atleast you could see the view and deck in the process of being done. We were served by Jackie and she was the bar tender, her services and friendly character was amazing. Defiantly going back.Parking: Parking lot is huge and right up too the establishment.
