We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean. The staff was very helpful. They provided us with extra towels, pillows, and coffee upon our request. They have a breakfast area that does cost extra. We did not use the breakfast area. We stayed her to see the Salem area. The hotel was only 15 minutes or so from Salem.

The room was a little uncomfortable, the bed was big and comfortable, but there was a closet that made it difficult to see the television, instead of a hotel it looks like a school or something similar, right next door there is a shopping center but a little abandoned , the reception and dining room are fine, everything was clean and soundproofed, but the breakfast was disastrous, they served coffee and nothing else, I had to ask that they at least give us some muffins since there was absolutely nothing...and on top of that, not even a sad place to have it, we had to go to the room for breakfast, they charge you a separate $5 for parking, and the refund of the deposit they ask for takes several days...I don't think I would choose it again...

Great little hotel! My daughter and I wanted to have an adventure in Salem so I booked at this hotel because getting a hotel right in Salem in Oct is crazy expensive. This hotel was cozy, the room was clean, and the staff were very accommodating and nice!! I will definitely book

Location is a bit out of the way but service was super friendly! Rooms were fairly clean. Price was increased due to Oct festivities so it wasn't worth the price for what you get but it worked.

I stayed in room 342 from the 27th of October to the 30 th: we had a Do NOt Disturb sign on our door. When we got back from visiting Salem 5 hours later the do not disturb sign was removed from the door. Either staff or cleaning crew went in for some reason and went through our drawers and found my keys with my new car key( only had car for 5 days), my house keys, and my little medicine bottle with my prescription medicine on the key chain as well. They took it. Every morning and night I would go into the drawer and take my meds and put it right back wrapped in the pair of leggings that I had. I checked it right before we left and they were still there. I NEVER took them out of that drawer ever. I would teach in and grab the keys out then put them right back in the leggings. Got back to take my medication and the entire set of keys and my medication was gone. The leggings were still there in a different spot and gooded differently. I asked the front desk they said nothing they were rude. I called to speak to somebody else that would hopefully not be rude and she said they were not in the lost and found ams the room is occupied now. No one would even check or ask staff. It was disgusting. That is not the worst part though. Not only does their staff steal they allow domestic violence situations and abuse the woman Also in the morning we were packing up to leave and my boyfriend was yelling at me and staff came upstairs and screamed at me and told me to GET OUT RIGHT NOW. She never even asked me if I was okay. I yelled back at her for help and proceeded to tell me not to talk to her that way after she cussed me out for being yelled at by my boyfriend. So I yelled out to her that she was crazy . It's not ok to scream at another woman and when they say something back you don't tell the woman not to talk to you like that when you just spoke to me that way. They offered no help to find my stolen keys and medication from their staff ams they were willing to let a woman get beat up. It is absolutely disgusting. Do NOT STAY there. Way overpriced for the small rooms as well. The fridge is so small we couldn't even bring food back to eat later in the room. No television stations and sheets were dirty. Worst thing is the STAFF. There are also many hidden fees when I get there theu take hundreds of dollars to hold while you stay and apparently don't release it back to you/ I has to call the police just now about my stolen car, house. Keys,& medication. Worst trip ever

we unexpectantly had to spend the night in Danvers and selected the Sonesta. All our interactions with staff were friendly and productive, the room was very clean and everything was in great shape. Last, but not least, they had really cute Halloween decorations. While I may not ever need to stay at this Sonesta, I would absolutely stay within the chain.

This is a very basic hotel with rooms that are no different than any other.Today the rate is $400 to stay here. $400 if I want to extend another night. For a very basic small room with a queen size bed. They clearly want to gauge their clientele and charge as much as humanely possibleI did need to stay longer but I will not support this hotel. That is more expensive than a Manhattan property on Central ParkThey don’t even provide house cleaning dailyEvery four days your room will be “lightly” cleaned. Their wording. You read right. Every four days. Only after seven days you will get a full cleaning. And on top of that the management is so tacky they want to sell you drip coffee.I would be so embarrassed, working here at the front desk where they have the drip coffee hiding behind them, so guess will not help themselvesThey have $5 water bottles in the roomI travel full-time coast to coast. I stay at Sonesta properties almost exclusively. I left after one night because I don’t want to support this place whatsoever. Nickel and diming your customers is gross

Terrible experience, do NOT stay here. My family and I stayed here for my baby shower because it was the closest hotel to our venue and we were horrified. We arrived and our room had mold all over the bathroom and shower floor, the room smelled like burning plastic because the heater was broken. When we asked for another room she said she had heard that complaint before which means she was aware of the issue and still placed people in there. Even worse is this was the conditions of their “handicapped room” - which was honestly ADA reportable. The next room we were in had a hole in the wall, the bed linens were not even fully made and were untucked and the hall ways smelled like vomit and toilets. In addition to this the woman at the front desk was incredibly unprofessional and rude to me when I arrived. My mother had payed for the room online and when I arrived - very pregnant after a long drive hoping to get a key to the room to relieve myself she scoffed and told me to sit in the lobby and wait and that she didn’t Care I was pregnant. When we came down for coffee in the morning and to grab something for me like a yogurt because my blood sure drops pregnant they were hoarding one coffee behind the front desk and it was charged to the room and there was no way to get anything to eat for me.The hotel is incredibly outdated, the furniture, interior design, carpeting is all incredibly old and smells it too.I’ve stayed in many hotels all over the country and world and this experience was one of my worst. To anyone looking to have a pleasant stay for any kind of special event or just in any degree of quality - you have been warned. I definetly wouldn’t walk on the floors without shoes and feel unclean even being here. The hygiene products in the bathroom smelled like the cheapest they could find and in bulk on the wall, the body wash smelled like vomit as well. What’s worse is this cost of the room was well over 300 for the night for horrible quality - I’ve stayed in cheapChain motels like a La Quinta that made this place feel like a shanty. When we booked we also got an email to upgrade to the suit, because this was such an important date for me having our first child my mom upgraded only to find out when we called that they “hadn’t checked their emails” and gave it to someone else.
