This is the best barbecue place I’ve eaten at in the northeast. The menu is expansive, and the daily specials makes it even more so. I’ve eaten here twice thus far, and each time the food has been excellent. The pulled chicken is very flavorful and juicy. The jerk chicken is a little different and less flavorful than traditional jerk in my experience, and was a little on the drier side. The brisket, however, is some of the best I’ve had. Very smokey, and was a perfect mix of lean and fatty pieces. The collard greens are seasoned perfectly, and the mac and cheese is solid for a bbq spot and tastes like it’s made with white cheddar. The FREE cornbread is very good as well, and the variety of sauces and complementary pickles accompany the meats very well. I can’t forget to mention that the portions are very generous as well making everything fairly priced.

Ok food great service and no atmosphere. But I was impressed of how good the peach cobbler was that's the only thing memorable. It was barely warm when I got it. The place doesn't really look busy and is not maintained

Meats were great!!! Sauces were not. Surprising given how great the meat was. Cole slaw was also terrific as were salads and beans. Atmosphere is what it is… a barbecue restaurant.

This place is the freaking bee's knees of barbecue. If you call yourself a barbecue lover or if you just "like" barbecue you gotta check this place out. They have DAILY menu specials and it's always some delicious mashup like looking at the menu right now, one of the daily menu specials is a buffalo chicken caesar rollup like what?! That sounds amazing! Anyway, it was pretty easy to get parking here, but they also have two parking garages because they get THAT packed. We got platters (served with your choice of two sides and cornbread):PULLED CHICKENDry-rubbed boneless chicken thighs smoked until falling apart, mixed with a little North Carolina Vinegar BBQ sauce. The chicken was deliciously juicy and that vinegar barbecue sauce is unreal. I usually don't like pulled chicken because of how dry it usually is and this was just so tasty.KANSAS CITY BURNT ENDSBeef brisket that had been smoked for about 14 hours with oak & hickory, chopped up and cooked in their Sweet BBQ sauce (which is also sold separately) until the meat is caramelized and literally falls apart from the tenderness. I freaking love burnt ends and the best burnt ends I've ever had was down South and oh my gosh these Kansas City Burnt Ends were up there. So flavorful, lightly charred and just so so addicting, bite after bite. Sooo good.ST. LOUIS CUT RIBSSt. Louis style trimmed pork spare ribs that had been dry-rubbed, smoked for hours til tender, then lightly glazed with their secret sauce. We got 1/3 slab which is 4 ribs. Such tasty ribs, the meat just falls off the bone, the way it's supposed to!BAKED BEANSCooked from scratch for 12 hours, flavored with molasses and beef brisket trimmings. These beans are just a yummy classic. Sweet and hearty.COLE SLAWShredded green cabbage and carrots, mixed with a vinegar and mayo based slaw dressing. Refreshing and light with a great crunch in between all the meats.COLLARD GREENSBig leafy greens, cooked for 3-4 hours until tender with chicken stock, garlic, red pepper, salt and pepper. These were some tasty collard greens made just the way it should be slightly sweet and earthy. Not soggy or overly salty. Just right.CORNBREADTheir homemade cornbread is so tasty, it's super light and fluffy. Ugh, so good. Crumbly and buttery, and just a teeny bit of sweetness making every bite so delicious. It paired perfectly with the barbecue meat and was able to stand alone too with how good it tasted.DIRTY RICEWhite rice sautéed with onion, celery, garlic, spices, and their Texas Hot Link Sausage. Topped with homemade gravy. The rice was perfectly cooked, nice and al dente. The addition of celery, garlic, spices and the hot sausage made this rice so flavorful with a hint of spice. The homemade gravy was just the perfect addition to make this side even more tasty.GREEN BEANSCooked greens beans, flavored with mildly spicy smoked pork sausage, vinegar, salt & pepper. These green beans were soo good. Well flavored and a very slight crunch, you can tell these were prepared fresh and not frozen, they just soaked up all the juices they were cooked in, it was just delicious.MASHED POTATOESRed bliss potatoes mashed with roasted garlic, half & half, butter, salt & pepper. Really creamy with lumps of potatoes in it, lots of butter too. I really liked this side, it was well salted and flavored. Some yummy mashed potatoes they got here.I have MISSED southern barbecue and this place really hit the spot and checked allll the boxes. I'm telling you, you have got to try this place out if you're a barbecue fanatic because this place is absolutely worth the visit and try. Highly recommend!

First and foremost - if you are from the South, or somewhere in this country that has terrific BBQ; you're not going to be impressed with North East BBQ, and rightfully so. It would be like people from Massachusetts criticizing North Dakota on seafood; you need to temper your expectations - this isn't Texas, Missouri or North Carolina (all of BBQ which is out of this world). For Massachusetts, Blue Ribbon, is one of the best BBQ places you are going to find. They have a great side selection, and they are always consistent. For me, what separates them from getting 5 stars are their pricing, parking at the Dedham location and the customer service can be a little lacking at times.

I've been going to Blue Ribbon BBQ for 20+ yrs in West Newton first and Dedham more recently. I've always enjoyed the food and the staff have always been great. Tonight I encountered a staff member who was so rude & sneering that I left without placing an order Too bad

Stopped by for a quick lunch while in the area. Service was fast and friendly. Arrived at noon, placed my order, and it was ready before I could fill my drinkOrdered a 10 piece buffalo wing they had on special. Sauce luckily came on the side because it didn't really have any heat and had an artificial butter taste. Several of the wings were undercooked and bloody. The rest had a nice smoke ring and taste to them but was off put by the few that weren't fully cooked.I'd recommend getting the wings well done if they offer that and opting for the various bbq sauces they have available to serve your self.

We love Blue Ribbon BBQ - the food is always so fresh and delicious - truly hearty, comforting food. That's the only place where the amount of meet in a sandwich was twice that of the bread. Highly recommend!
