Capital Grill is consistently good, however Peter our server took it to a new level. He treats guests like family, goes way above and beyond. He doesn’t miss a detail and makes you feel special. We even thanked the manager in the way out. It didn’t end there, a minute later at my car - out comes Peter to bring out my coat that I forgot. Peter is as good as it gets.

The 2 bone in filets were over cooked in one part of one filet and in the other filet it was under cooked in one part so we ended up trading the well done for the not so well done as how we ordered the steak .. they offered a new steak but at the price of the bone in we don't like to waste food - they comp a drink but that's all ? I think they should have comp the steak but otherwise it was good

I can't say enough about our server, Morgan. She went over & above all our requests. The food was excellent also and when I requested that the music be turned down because it was interfering with conversation, CG accommodated us immediately. I will return.

This was our third visit. Each time has been a wonderful experience. Cosmos were great. Wine list has something for everyone. Food nicely prepared and presented. I tried the salmon and it was delicious. The rest of the table had steak. Excellent were the comments. Atmosphere is very nice. We had a booth each visit and enjoyed the comfort. This is our new go to restaurant.

This is a steakhouse. They should know how to cook a filet steak. I ordered medium well it came back well done. I sent it back. The server told me he took my replacement one from another table which was cooked medium. It was not even cooked to my order. It was not a tender piece of meat. It was tough and chewy. And flavorless. Very disappointed! This is the capital Grille! Sadly it is not what it once was. Definitely not worth the money. Will go elsewhere next time for a special dinner. Also, as a note, when I sent back the first steak I had my sides on my plate…which I paid extra for. When the new steak arrived there were no sides on my plate and there was no offer to replenish the sides. Unacceptable. Will not come here again!

Capital Grille Dedham provides exceptional food and service. What can't be controlled are other diners' wardrobes and a few noisy groups that want to be seen and heard. Unfortunately, the last two times we dined several tables near us spoiled the otherwise serene ambiance. We have asked for a specific area next time that limits proximity of others. I think the restaurant should try to better enforce a dress code that prohibits torn jeans and t-shirts after 5 pm, when couples like us dress in business casual/sport coat and don't mind paying for an expensive meal in an upscale location. It's a place for a special dinner and quiet conversation. Those who don't wish to comply with the advertised desired attire should not be seated.

We went for restaurant week. This was our first time at the Dedham location and the new location was beautiful! The steak was cooked perfectly, and the appetizer and dessert were delicious! However, we were really disappointed with the service. When we first sat down, we had to flag down someone else to bring us water, bread, and the wine menu. Throughout the meal, the server seemed inattentive and short. I ordered a second glass of wine that he forgot to bring. He never came over to ask how our steak was cooked and only returned to place the check on the table without asking if we wanted anything else. While we loved our meal, one of the things I love most about Capital Grille is the exceptional service. This visit left us unsure if we'll be back.

The food was, without a doubt, the top of the line delicious. We had a bone in rib-eye steak, which was outstanding and cooked to perfection. "Hats off to the chef ??". I had potatoes and creamed spinach with my steak. The creamed spinach was on the salty side. The Lamb chops were outstandingly delicious as well. Steak and lobster tails were good. There were no complaints other than the waitress was kind of cold and inattentive.

We had a fabulous dinner experience. We were celebrating our anniversary and we did not have one single complaint. From the moment we walked in, until we walked out everything was amazing. Great staff and great food! We were thinking about making this an annual dinner!

It was the first night of Dine Out Boston, so it was busy. Everyone from our initial greeting to thanking us when we left was very friendly and upbeat. Our server Kristeen was very attentive and accommodating and the food was great. What more could we ask for!

The side dishes excellent Recommend the Au Gratin Potatoes & Sams Potatoes. The desserts are so good.If you call and do Reservations the take care of you. I took my wife for our anniversary and they decorated the table and put a card on the table.Been twice at this location will be back.Don't believe the negative comments people say.Go in and try it yourself.

Unfortunately though, besides the service- this location leaves much to be desired. I don’t know how to explain it but it just doesn’t feel like a Capital Grille. The location was a former PF Changs and I think that’s important to know because it literally still looks and feels like a somewhat fancier PF changs. And that’s just not what you want for your celebratory meal at this price point. Was unimpressed by bar area and bartender as well- not super personable and just an overall casual atmosphere. Our first steaks were over cooked and sent back- Morgan took great care of us and got us new sides asap. Love capital grille still but definitely won’t return to this location unfortunately because of the atmosphere.
