Let me start by saying I've eaten a lot of ice cream in my time. The Cape is possibly THE mecca of ice cream in the Northeast, maybe even the whole country. Holy Cow's ice cream is easily the best of the Cape. I have tried all of them - Four Seas, Creamery, Smuggler, Sundae School, you name it. This place's ice cream is just better. Sure, the shop is a little rickety, but you'll forget that detail when you smell that freshly baked waffle cone, the one they made right in front of you, and that first bite of creamy deliciousness.Firstly, the flavors change, with new flavors arriving and others leaving (so don't hesitate to try the interesting ones). Secondly, they win awards. Who even knew there were awards for ice cream? Well, there are, these guys win them, and it's easy to see why. Ritzy AF is impossibly good. They're not afraid to try things out. Orange Cardamom is a pretty adventurous take on an ice cream flavor but it's delicious and different. Their Strawberry is made from actual strawberry syrup, made from actual strawberries. There is a qualitative difference in the strawberry-ness of the Holy Cow product.Did I mention they're open all year round? It's hard when your ice creamery closes at the end of the summer, and we're a year-round community now. Being able to get a pint of the good stuff in December is a big deal.People are loyal to the places they went to when they were kids and they came here on holiday, and that's ok. That's about loyalty, not about ice cream. After you've tried this place I bet that you'll realize that you can be loyal and you can also enjoy the absolutely best ice cream. Two things can simultaneously be true.You can love your family and enjoy the company of your friends! I love Holy Cow and I'm thinking you will too.

Rated first and third for two of their flavors at the National Ice Cream Parlor conference. Not too shabby! They have a constantly changing menu. Rarely will you go in twice and they will have the same ice cream. Plenty of seasonal choices.

By far the best ice cream on cape cod.The flavors are so rich and really high quality! Serving sizes are solid for the price. The employees are really friendly and the shop itself is adorable.

I have a dairy and gluten allergy, this was the BEST dairy free ice cream I’ve ever had. It was incredibly creamy and had the most perfect ice cream texture. The vegan coconut GF Oreo is incredible.

Holy cow... waffle cone small was so large... I should of gotten one for my wide and I to share...I had cookies and cream and she had the lemon flavor. Both were perfect....Ran a little understaffed, so a bit of a wait, but well worth it. Nice playground in the back for the toddler and kids to run and play

Me and my husband came here for ice cream around 3pm and it was pretty busy but the two employees working were very fast. This is the second time we have been to Holy Cow, the first time was over in Gloucester ma, and the ice cream is amazing! Home made with so many different and unique flavors! Both time we got different flavors and they have not been disappointing! Ritzy AF is amazing, this time I got a cold brew one and then a brownie one and they were so good, my husband loved the lemon one and the peanut butter one! I highly recommend coming here!
The manager is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and quite diligent. I highly recommend HC for their excellent variety of tasty ice cream.
