Very nice small restaurant. Was not crowded had literally the best fresh spring rolls I have ever eaten and spring rolls, #3 on the menu, are my favorite thing ever. Had the beef soup, #19 on the menu, which was also quite amazing. Highly recommend!! Staff was friendly and fast. Definitely go try them out!

Very good noodle soups. They offer some unique ones as well like #34 on their menu - mi ga xoi mo and mi quang- that few others in the neighborhood have. I highly recommend this restaurant.

TERRIBLE. One server for the whole restaurant on a friday night, and the food was not even up to standards. I ordered a platter for fishcakes, pork, and tofu, etc., and it came with a sauce that tasted salty, and smelled horrid. The snails that I ordered came with corn that was exactly like what comes out of the can. Overall, can’t say anything good about this place. I was really hoping for a good experience, but the food sadly did not deliver.

Service is really fast apparently. I called and was told 5-10 min for conch and pho. Traffic was horrendous and took me over an hour though.I’ve never had conch before. The seasoning was great (smokey, sweet, bright, crispy, and slight bit of spice) as was the peanut crunch, but I don’t think I like conch as a meat. It’s like the clam round posterior muscle thing, but that’s the entirety of it instead of only a portion. The pho was ok. Neither the best nor the worst I’ve had. The meat in the soup was very tender. Was just under $32 total. If the drive wasn’t so awful, I’d consider going again. Street parking. Interior is somewhat small.

My favorite viet restaurant ever!!! Such a wide variety of dishes and they’re all so flavorful and comforting (especially the soups). Took my family here and they loved it as well. Highly recommend the glass noodle soup, beef noodle soup (pho’bo), the salted fish fried rice, and the smoothies. Owner is very kind. My go-to spot!

The staff and I assume owner was so nice with our table. I believe the whole menu is in viet so some of us weren't sure what to get but he recommended this large hotpot chicken dish. I didn't know what to expect but it was so good and flavorful. The large can definitely feed like 6 people. Don't think there's anything like this anywhere else in Boston. He said it's the top dish that he recommends to everyone. Glad we found this spot!

Now that's colder, I've been craving warmer food, and Ban Toi hit the spot with it's short rib pho. I was surprised by how generous they were with the meat for this dish, and the noodles were the perfect texture. The soup was very light but comforting. I also tried their caramelized catfish, which was very savory and needs an accompanying rice side order to soak up all the sauce. The conch was also tasty, and a relatively large portion for the price; the sauce was very reminiscent of the clams I had on An Bang beach when I was in Vietnam. The chicken wings were pretty standard, but had a nice crunch. The food came out pretty quick, but my party was also the only one in the restaurant at that time.

I've come to this restaurant a few times. And whilst the food was decent, tonight I saw a roach crawling across the table. I was so embarrassed for them I abruptly asked for the check. I paid tipped and left deciding to never go back... When I got home I stripped in my front hall and found one IN MY CLOTHES. At this point Im livid, so I called the restaurant to tell them and they point blank said I made it up, whilst proceeding to tell me to come back and look at the camera as if you can see a roach on a table from a camera. The icing on the cake was him telling me he couldn't have roaches cause the exterminator is there every two weeks... Why in the world would you need such frequent extermination visits if there isn't a problem to begin with...All I'm saying if there is one roach in the front there are probably a multitude in the back.Eat here at the risk of hitchhikers.Bon Appétit!

Loved their fish sauce fried chicken wings. Caramelized catfish is the best I’ve ever had to pair with delicious sweet sour soup and stir-fry water spinach. Kiddos loved the pho here. Highly 10/10 recommend.

I just had the worst hotpot here ever... I ordered a lau de and oxtail for take out... they must've not written down the correct order because I got 2 orders of lau de, no oxtail. The goat hotpot was the worst hotpot ever, both taste and presentation. The sauce was bland, it was so watered down I couldn't even taste the bean curd flavor. And for greens we only got mustard greens and napa cabbage... where's the watercress? Needless to say I will not be giving Bạn Tôi another try. I am beyond disappointed with the food at this restaurant.

Restaurant has 0 consistency. I have been here numerous of times One day it's the best restaurant i have ever eaten at the next day the food is inedible. My favorite dish (grilled conch) comes in a shell one day and the next day it doesn't. Fried chicken can be amazing or it can be flavorless. Coconut juice has too much sugar one day, next day has no flavor. You get the point. I just hope you go on a good day
