They are so nice. They provide sink water AND they can do half and half flavors in ONE SCOOP! Great service!

Solid ice cream shop. It is family owned and sauces and ice cream flavors are made there too. You can sample ice cream flavors before deciding on your order. Recently bought banana lazy bar and it was delicious. Who knew banana flavored ice cream can be decadent and tasty. It doesn't have any bitter artificial aftertaste. The crumble outside wasn't crazy sweet and had a lovely texture.

We live in the neighborhood and visited Lazy Bear after having dinner at a neighborhood restaurant. The staff was so nice to me and my daughter. They gave her samples of the ice cream...which she LOVED. She got cotton candy ice cream. It tasted just like cotton candy but without being clowingly too sweet. It was delicious. I'm not a big fan of sweets, but "When in Rome..." I got the black raspberry. Super delicious. My daughter and i both got "single" scoops in a cup. Lazy Bear's scoop is extremely generous. It was actually more like 3 scoops. They also have free sample of their hot chocolate... which was equally delicious. One of the guys told us his grandmother makes homemade fudge that they sell. You can smell the fresh cookies in the background. And, they make their own whipped cream in several flavors. Lazy Bear has our business from now on. Great products, great staff, no pretentious stuff, great variety, great store... they delivered on everything. We're already agreed we'll be back next week.

This is really good ice cream. I loved the yummy chocolatey crunchy Muddy River flavor, and the sweet rich fudge swirl, and the kids loved the gummy bears. Well-deserved five stars.

Finally stopped at this cute ice cream spot, and I'm glad I did! The coffee oreo and the cinnamon-and-oatmeal-cookie flavors were both awesome, and the guy behind the counter was friendly and clearly took pride in what they offered. I'm looking forward to trying out their frappes!

Excellent ice cream from nonnas. I love the maple pecan, cake batter, tsunami, pumpkin Oreo, coffee Oreo. I did not like north end cannoli flavor , it didn’t taste amazing like the cannoli gelato in Italy, it was worst tasting then mikes, and mikes is bad. Tasted like it melted and was refrozen, maybe I got a bad batch. Having said that it’s still the Best ice cream in town. Highly recommended. The staff are very nice.

This is a great newer shop on Neponset Ave. in Dorchester. The server was really helpful and nice. The owner came to the counter and was really friendly and enthusiastic. He grew up in the neighborhood and is really proud to be in business in his community. Great flavors, generous portions, such a great experience!

This new ice cream shop near Neponset Circle has gotten a lot of media attention over the last year, and after lots of teasing on their social media presence, finally opened this past summer. They certainly put a lot of work into the venue, which features mini-swing benches along the windows and a gimmicky faux plant wall with neon "Pura Vida" lighting. Fortunately, there's enough substance to back up the visual and social media gimmicks, in the form of 20 ice cream flavors when I stopped by. I was a tad disappointed that you can't split a single scoop into two flavors like some ice cream shops do, so of course I went for two scoops. The coffee oreo and summer swirl were flavorful enough without tasting artificial, and also had a decently solid, thick consistency - not airy, but not hard. Overall, a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Pro tip: Yelpers and other amateurs, you don't need to shove your ice cream into the photo - or massage, fondle, or molest it - with your bare, moist, wrinkly hands and dirty fingernails. (Did you just pick your nose or scratch your butt with them?) You also don't need to call attention away from the ice cream with pointless "action" shots. Keep all body parts, plaque-laced bite marks, and distracting backgrounds out of the photo. Focus solely on the ice cream itself. #stayclassy #stayuseful #noyouarenotanarteeste
