Ambiance was nice . service was good but the food was much less than desirable. Tomato Bisque ? - it was pureed tomatoes from a can with some pancetta thrown on top with parsley.. absolutely horrible. Salad was brown and without dressing. The hamburger was a frozen patty barely cooked and definitely not worth the price. very disappointed.

Great service. The food was good, but the salad tasted like water, no salad dressing on it. The atmosphere was good. It just needs better lighting. It's hard to read the menu'

Great cozy decor and vibe. Very attentive service and adorable waiters. Fish and chips were yum but pass on the overpriced tomato bisque and wedge salad ($19???) which were yuk. Overall a nice place to hang out and chill and we'll try some of the other entrees next time. Pricey though for what it is!

A classic for Martha's vineyard not to be missed. It is one of the few reasonably priced restaurants on the island.

Great food. Nostalgic place in Edgartown. Restaurant has gone through a renovation. Rustic interior.

Had been coming here for years. It is now under new ownership as is the old Kelley House It was always pleasant great pub food. Went there this evening. We were disappointed. My wife's Lobster Mac and Cheese was not hot. My fish and chips were ok. However what really bothered me was the fact they charged for refills for plain iced tea. It was $5. a glass . I had 2 glasses and they were probably only 10 oz glasses filled with ice.

Cozy tavern that delivered friendly, attentive service while serving tasty bloodies with a satisfying offering of brunch items. We thoroughly enjoyed the bag o rings and the Fried Chicken Sandy. I will be back for more!

Nice historic location however the food was overpriced and service was subpar. We sat at the bar for dinner the bartender was very scattered and it didn’t seem to be a busy night. We were there after the dinner rush on a Thursday. He was slow and forgetful - maybe he was just having a bad night. We each had the clam chowder to start which was good but nothing special in a town full of clam showier. Then we each had a salad which were good but they were over $20 without any protein which was expensive for what they were. Given how many great restaurants there are in Edgartown this unfortunately is not somewhere I would go back to again.

Don’t waste your money here - it’s a ripoff. The $25 chicken wings (6) don’t even come with blue cheese or ranch dressing. It’s an extra $2 for that. Also the clam chowder had no clams in it. The newes used to be the place to eat in Edgartown if you were looking for good pub / American food, now prices are same as Atlantic and food is not as good. Just go to the wharf or seafood shanty instead if you’re thinking about going to the newes - it’s just not worth it. Trust me.
