We went with some friends to sample some traditional Portuguese for lunch. The bar was hopping and the dining room had 5-6 tables occupied. We sat and were greeted by a very pleasant server- Isabelle? The tables were a little sticky. We enoyed the cod croquettes and the queijo fresco with gorgeous fresh bread to start with. The cheese was so light and creamy - it was a nice mix with the red pepper sauce. My friends got the Portuguese soup which was good- not fabulous. The broth tasted a little under seasoned and maybe watery. The fish soup was almost entirely blended- I think we expected it to be chunkier, also mediocre in flavor. We then shared a plate of fried smelts which I had never had and the Bacalhau a Braz. My friend said the smelt were sort of dried out- not much fish meat to enjoy. My Bacalhau a Braz was delicious- a nice blend of flavors. I thoroughly enjoyed it and we left completely full. One suggestion to the restaurant- that many restaurants do- please be mindful of spraying the table cleaner in a nearby table when your guests are eating. Overall- it was a great experience.

We've been here four times I keep trying to like this place because the prices are decent and is a good amount of choices on the menu but I just can't get past 2 to 3 stars.Tonight we went here for a birthday dinner, and though it was nice of them to sing Happy Birthday they refused to take reservations so I wasn't able to bring a cake which is definitely a downside we just kind of had to pray that they had enough of room for us when we show up because "it's first come first serve" so that was the first strike against the night. Then when we ask to split the bill into two separate bills they said "it's too complicated and they don't allow splitting of the bill" Not sure what's complicated about charging two separate tables it's no different, but for me that was a second strike because we could have simply have separated the two tables and just done two completely separate orders. My son's pasta was hard as a rock so thankfully they did replace it with a hot dog and fries and took the price of the pasta off that was very appreciated.I usually love Portuguese fish fillets but these were pink and wet and undercooked it was near inedible that was the third strike for meAnother issue was the Lapas. 10 tiny teeny things was all that was served. I understand price increase sometimes they're tough but they were the tiniest things I've ever seen and for the price the $15 was not worth it.And lastly the sangria was basically juice and very sweet and overall not worth $15 whatsoever. With all that being said my bottom line is I'm over giving Fall River Grill my money and time there are plenty of other establishments with Portuguese food in the city that surpass the quality, atmosphere and food that this is my bottom of the barrel of choice.

I’m new to the area and did a search for a Portuguese restaurant near me to order a take out for me and my elderly mom. The moment I poured the kale soup on a bowl for my 90 year old mother, she right away complained of the sour smell. I smelled it myself and tasted it and honestly that soup was rotten. The grilled salmon was dried and veggies were super soggy. The chicken rice soup tasted as if it was from a can. I was totally disappointed and it was a waste of my money and time. Never again.

My roommate has never been here before but I did in 98 and was pleasantly surprised to learn that they are still in business. The entrance looks a bit different than last time I was there, but it's been over 20 years and it's to be expected. Best meal I've had in a while which is what I was hoping for ❤️

Last few times I’ve came here my order has had to be remade due to wrong temps, wrong sides or just cold, good thing I like to eat at restaurant & not take out. Other then that atmosphere is great, food is decent when chef’s there.

A good place to spend a quiet time as a couple, with excellent food, wines and first-class service. Highly recommended. When you have the opportunity to visit it, it is very welcoming.
