We savored Jim's Clam Shack the last day of the season before they closed up. Six of us went. That was my wife and our dog, my wife's friend who I ran a half marathon with the day before, the friend's sister who ran much faster in the same race, and the sister's husband, and me. Coming from a person who eats a lot of fried seafood (don't tell my doctor) this is my favorite seafood place. We drive out of our way on our annual trip to Provincetown just to come here. We once stood in line behind someone who told us that they drove 4 hours (!) out of their way to eat there. We usually get the fried clam strips and fried scallops. Went for an early dinner after someone apparently made a large to-go order. As a result, they were low or out of a lot (no clams, clam chowder, sweet potato fries, etc. ). Was able to try fried lobster - personally, a waste of sweet lobster. But at least I can say I tried it! It was chilly out, otherwise we would’ve sat outside and enjoyed the ocean view.
