CJ's has that comforting local small diner look and feel inside. Not expected by the outside if you just drive by.Service was nice, helpful, and pleasant greeting as you enter. Well done KaylinCajun chicken sandwich was their already grilled chicken breast with a dusting of Cajun spice and chipotle mayo. Good, but was hoping for the real thing. Onion rings were thick battered and done right, sometimes more batter than onion though.Stop in for a quick bite, stay for the local vibe.

So CJ's is on my way to work everyday and I've stopped over a few times. The food is decent and I haven't had an issue good portions. Decently priced considering the economy. Customer service is where it goes down hill. You either get a great service or lousy service and they are understaffed and some of the servers don't know the menu or the product. Also healthy wise they have leaks coming from the roof you can see when you are sitting at single seating over by the TV dripping on everything. Anyways I hope they fix the leaks and train there staff better. If they do I'll add more stars cause I want this place to succeed.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly dinerParking: Good amount of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Very accessible

CJs consistently delivers quality food and service. Love this local indie restaurant that is a neighborhood gem. Love the breakfast-all day. Yummy comfort dishes like meatloaf, chicken pot pie and "Thanksgiving dinner" make this a perfect spot for all ages. My kids say the cheeseburger is the best. Try the roast beef on an onion roll with a side of onion rings. Mmmm

Food is okay but the service is horrendous! I will never spend my money here again and would not suggest this establishment to anyone. The staff is a lot of young high school girls who are rude and not very attentive to the customer and their needs or concerns. If you scroll down to recent reviews you can see for yourself how disrespectful and antagonistic they are when responding to negative reviews. I was appalled to see some of their responses. Everyone is going through tough times but that is certainly not an excuse to disrespect your paying customers. I have NEVER in my life seen such awful customer service skills. It takes so much less effort to simply apologize and find out what you can do to make things right for an unhappy customer. Whoever owns this family business needs to have a talk with their team because this is NOT how you stay in business.

Not the greatest customer service chewy overcooked onion rings looked like two tiny onion rings but it was 4 stuck together. Wait staff chatted whole time while food was getting cold.

CJs food is delicious but their physical and online menu doesn't detail what is in their food! Ordered the cheesy tots thinking they were cheesy tots and lo and behold there's meat in them. Not vegetarian or food-allergen friendly at ALL.Vegetarian options: Same as dietary restrictions- not enough info.Dietary restrictions: Not enough details on their menu for people with food allergies and restrictions.

The In a Glance Google Menu does not reflect the actual current prices of the restaurant. The food was good but I got two doubles and some extra bacon and a side order of corned beef hash and it came out to $35. They raised the double $4 from the 7.55 ea price. I was floored!

Alright, I dropped in around 10am the place is clean, and bathrooms are in good shape. I had an omlete which did the job but nothing great. The breakfast sandwich wasn't fancy but did the job. If you're hungry and want a friendly smile, then this is a good place, but if you're looking for fancy, keep driving.

Definitely a breakfast place... Went for burgers and it was underwhelming with thin patties and a huge piece of lettuce. But the apple crisp was good... Not crispy at all but warm and soft and cinnamony for dessert. Wish we just got breakfast foods or dessert as those are easier to make. The girl working was cleaning the whole time though so it made it seem clean inside.

Stopped by CJ's Northside Grill around 2pm last Friday for a bite to eat and a frappe. It was not busy. The young person taking orders was initially not very welcoming but did become a bit more animated and friendly when I inquired about the freshness of the food, in particular the chicken sandwiches. The response was "everything is made to order", but did not really answer my question of the chicken being cooked fresh. Took a chance and ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich (9.99), it does not come with any extras. Also ordered a small fountain drink (2.59).My husband ordered a small order of fries (4.59) and a strawberry frappe (7.99). The small fries were indeed small (see photo), and sadly, they tasted overpoweringly like onion rings. The strawberry frappe was disappointing also, it tasted like strawberry milk made with poor quality strawberry syrup. While I was waiting for my sandwich, I went to the restroom to wash my hands. While the sink was fairly clean, the floor, walls and in particular the door and doorknobs were extremely dirty. Everything looked like it had not been properly cleaned for some time. The Cajun chicken sandwich was inedible. While the bun, peppers and onions seemed (mostly) fresh, the chicken was so desiccated and tasteless I could not even swallow one bite and had to discreetly spit it out into a napkin. It was really, really bad. It seemed like it had been precooked days beforehand, stored in the refrigerator, and perhaps warmed up on the grill for a minute or two before being "made to order".I brought the sandwich back up to the counter person and showed them how bad the chicken was and they apologized and offered to make me another one but I declined and requested a refund for the sandwich, which I was granted. We realize prices for everything have gone up, so this review was not necessarily about the high prices of CJ's, but more about the subpar quality of the food.

Wings were decent size and flavored well. But the sides are not worth it. They forgot the coleslaw and couldn't refund us. And the Mac and cheese was overpriced for the amount given.

Ordered two clam rolls. I got small amount of clams w five onion rings for $15 each. Clams were tasteless ,oil was old as that was all I could taste. Staff was friendly.

Waited in line for ice cream to be told that they close in 15 minutes and could not make a Carmel sundae.
