Small Massachusetts chain; basic Italian food. Extensive menu. Good food but nothing stood out as being extraordinary. Reasonably priced and friendly

Its clean, full of great wait staff, food is delicious, they also make you feel like your family. Having been going there for several months (book club meetings). Our waitress is Shana (not sure of the spelling). She ia a delight, very personable and attentive to our needs. We will definitely be going

Really wanted my lunch to be good. Ordered lunch special ($16.99), a pasta w/ pancetta & peas & cream sauce dish. Dish did not come with salad (or any sides). Dish was something I would never order again as it included a bowl full of small sized overdone noodles, a few very small pieces of pancetta, a few peas & an extremely bland cream sauce. Was hoping for better as my brother uses Chateaus as his comfortable meeting place. He loves their egg plant Parmesan & his came with soup or salad. My brother was hoping for crusty Italian bread they used to serve. Instead this 4th generation family restaurant served bread that looked & tasted like store bought Italian sandwich bread. Restaurant was clean & our waiter was kind. It was noon time & restaurant was very slow except for Shower someone was holding on one side of dining area.I really hope this family owned corporate chain restaurant serves more tasty & visually appealing food & my dish was a one off. Also, they need to bring back the “real Italian” bread.

Most of the food was good. But wife ordered chicken marsala. Flavor was weak and texture of chicken was as though it were cooked in a microwave.

The Chateau has an excellent atmosphere and makes for a nice date. The service was very slow, as they appeared to be short staffed in the kitchen. Our wait staff was very friendly however. The food was good. It was a bit pricey, and they don't go overboard with their portion sizes.Parking: Plenty of spots available

Went to eat with another couple 2 loved the food I thought the food was good just not the best Italian food I have
Spectacular dining experience!!! Temperature in the restaruant was very comfortable. Everything was extremely clean. The waitress was very efficient and professional. She delivered a nice basket of bread before dinner. I had the swiss and mushroom burger with onion rings. EXCELLANT!! My wife had the tour of Italy plate. More that enough. Very generous portions!!! This was my first experience at The Chateau in Franklin. I will be taking my nephew next week when he comes in from California.
