the service was a very good. Staff attentive but not overly so. Very busy yet food came out hot and in a well timed- fashion. Servers were well trained and interacted very well with clients. Beautiful property and beautiful setting

One of my favorite bar to vist and bring my friends from out of town. Even tho there was rain ? showers early morning ? the sun came out and became a very beautiful day out at *54. Windy but worth every penny I spent here...I highly recommend this is one of the top Gloucester restaurants to vist if u come to town. I most highly recommend. Had a lovely brunch with a stunning water view! We both had the Chicken & Waffles (again!). Served with two crispy-on-the-outside and juicy-on-the-inside pieces of chicken over a fluffy Belgian waffle. I have had it both with the chipotle butter and plain butter and either way is outstanding. Very attentive and friendly service ❤️
Service was incredible from beginning to end. The food was very good but I thought the wine options could have been a bit better for by the glass but we ordered a nice bottle of Sancerre and overall the experience was great.

Really nice dinner out. I ate at the bar. The bar tender was very attentive, but not too much. Good recommendations. Food was great, arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was hot. It's such a nice spot. Great view of the water.

Great experience! Service and atmosphere wonderful. Oysters were excellent as was the salmon and baked haddock. Only thing that wasn't good was the crumb topping on the haddock. It was mushy/ pasty, it wasn't a nice buttery crumb. We highly recommend and look forward to going back soon.
Food is stellar with views to match. Service was a bit iffy last time we went. Not sure if it was due to the "off season" but wait staff seemed overwhelmed, forgot parts of our dinner and sparingly came by to check on us. Breakfast was a better experience and equally as good food-wise. It's always a 5 star experience in the summer though!

Very disappointing experience. As someone who grew up in the area I was excited about coming home and having an event at this establishment that I have often frequented in the past. I reached out regarding this and was met with an extreme lack of customer service, specifically by Emily Moore in food & beverage. She was rude, dismissive and lacked the professionalism I would expect from an establishment of this caliber. I look forward to finding another space. I will be letting locals and visitors know not to waste their time here and would encourage others to do the same.

We waited almost a full thirty minutes between our soup and entrees arrival. Only to be served cold food with no apology or offer to make things right. The restaurant was quite beautiful with stunning views. Also the bar area had good live music and a fun vibe. Drinks were good although one bartender misinformed us that they didn't carry a particular alcohol we ordered only to be offered that exact brand by another bartender 10 minutes later.

Somehow the restaurant knew it was my birthday! That was nice! They gave me a bday card signed by all the staff. Very nice and unexpected. Everything was perfect, right down to the temperature of the soup.
