A real gem. Very friendly staff. Fun ambiance.Terrific, authentic Portuguese/Azorean food. The Portuguese soup is among the best I've had. Octopus is fantastic, as is the calamari. Whole bronzino was simply amazing. Very generous cocktails/wine. Definitely worth a return visit the next time I am in Gloucester.

Excellent restaurant with a touch of Portuguese atmosphere. Had the Haddock Supreme... Awesome. Service was very courteous and nice and helpful, but I had to wait longer for attention than I wanted. But then again, we were on our way to a concert, so I was a bit more rushed than I wanted,so that might have affected my

The decor was not my favorite, but the food and the service was excellent! Had the seafood cataplana, lots of shrimp, calamari, mussels and clams over a bed of saffron rice. Also had the Lisbon octopus, super good. The entire menu looked great! Reasonably priced too! The bathrooms had a strange smell, like they could've used a good cleaning. But over all, you should give this restaurant a try. Try the Lisbon octopus, it was delicious!Vegetarian options: Vegetarians will find some yummy hereDietary restrictions: They will make it any way you like!"Parking: There is a small lot at the restaurant, lots of free street parking.Kid-friendliness: Kids will find plenty of choices hereWheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking, easy in with a wheelchair, easy out too. Plenty of room in the bathroom too.

On a rainy dreary night our dinner at Azorean turned things around. Fun, vibrant atmosphere turned our frowns upside down. Waiter was super quick and friendly. House wines on point. Food was delicious! Took home leftovers as portions were big. Will be back!

Food was uneven. We shared two appetizers: Azorean Littlenecks and codfish cakes. The clams came in a flavorful broth, but bread wasn't served with it, so we couldn't mop up all that deliciousness. The clams themselves were a bit overcooked and touch. The codfish cakes were small and sausage-shaped with a nicely browned exterior. However, it wasn't surrounding a tasty filling of potato & cod. The filling was somewhat mushy and there was a lot empty space between the exterior crumb coating and the filling. The dish tasted mostly of cooking oil. The La Portuguesa Pizza--a 12-inch pizza with homemade tomato sauce, ground chourico, peppers, onions and mozzarella--was first-rate. The toppings were spread equally across the top, and in just the right amounts. The chourico added a nice smokey flavor. The crust's exterior was crisp and nicely browned on the bottom, with just a bit of chew inside. My glass of house vino verde was a generous pour of a serviceable wine. The atmosphere was very pleasant with attractive colors, and not too much noise.
