This was the worst restaurant experience I've had in years. The food was gross to the point of inedible. The fish in the fish tacos was so old I could smell it when it arrived at a table 2 tables away. The service was epically slow. It took 1 full hour from when we ordered entrees to when we were served. 0/10 do not go.

Food was gross verging on inedible. The fish was so old I could smell fish tacos being delivered 2 tables away. The service was glacial. Took 1 full hour from when we ordered to when food arrived.

My experience at Jalapeno's was fantastic! The food is delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The owners are always present and go out of their way to be helpful. I particularly recommend trying the chimichanga it's a must-get dish that adds an extra layer of flavor to your dining experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, Jalapeno's offers great food and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps you coming back for more.

I came here years ago and thought I remembered that it was good. I don’t know what changed but the food was horrible. Even the soda machine didn’t work. Shredded chicken tasted like it was cooked in dirty water. Salsa was all tomato’s with no flavor. Chimichanga wasn’t even fried and cheese sauce was flavorless. Even my kids couldn’t eat the chicken quesadillas because the chicken was so bad. Avoid this place.

One of the strangest “quesadillas” I’ve ever seen at a restaurant. It was similar to what you would expect the high school cafeteria to give out when they run out of taco shells on taco Tuesday. The ladies were nice, but the establishment had my belly in fear of the incoming doom.I would have to say, I’ve had more authentic food at a drive through.Sorry to be mean.

Lovely people but sometimes the food is a bit disappointing. Mexican street tacos were tortillas and meat with a vast amount of wilting shredded lettuce on top.

The food was fine for the most part--nothing to write home about but hey, cuisine choices here aren't the same as in a big city. But the prices and portions are stupid. A burrito with rice and beans on the side should never be $20. I've had plenty of burritos in my life and none has been over $15-and they usually come with more. But the kids meal is what really got my goat. Children are actually humans who need food. But my $8 cheese quesadilla kids meal was a pile of stale tortillas (cause what parent doesn't want a meal for their toddler composed of 80% chips?), some rice, and two tiny-ass pieces of quesadilla. You know how much it costs to just throw the whole damn tortilla in? Very, very little. In fact, what do they actually do with the other half? Save it for the next lucky customer? Just push the boat out and give the kid the entire quesadilla. My kids are picky bastards so I've ordered a lot of cheese quesadillas in the past couple years, including all over Gloucester. This is hands down the chintziest serving I've ever had. Oh, and no sour cream. I guess that would be extra. Luckily Tacos Lupita and Machaco should be open again now holiday Monday is over. This was my last resort and now I know it was for good reason.

Lisa and Ellen were nice bartenders but could use a bar back! We ordered the famous "Gary's Dip" which was phenomenal and a couple of frozen margaritas which could have used a shot of tequila! ;) The walls lacked decor and the light fixtures above the bar are in major need of cleaning.-very dusty-ours actually had a spider's web. The atmosphere is very dated and there wasn't any music playing in the background. Get Spotify! Get with the times!

I haven't been here in awhile, but the food is still excellent, and the margarita was phenomenal! I had the mole chicken which was a generous portion, tender and with plenty of mole sauce!

We went in on a weeknight with no reservations for a group of 7 and they were very accommodating, waited only ~5 min. Servers were very nice, my husband is celiac and they were knowledgeable about gluten and cross contamination. The menu has great variety and the servers helped us narrow down our choices. They also had colouring available for my 4 year old. But the time we left the restaurant part was dying down and the bar section was getting more popular so we had the area to ourselves for a bit. I had great enchiladas for the first time in years.Kid-friendliness: Provided crayons for my 4 year old. Were very nice to him.Dietary restrictions: Knowledge about gluten free husband is celiac and he felt safe there

Grabbed dinner after an afternoon at the beach. We grabbed 3 entrees and soft drinks. Service was friendly and quick. Chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful. The main meals were all served hot. Each was delicious in its own way. I don’t think that you can go wrong with anything on the menu.
