Good food. 525 should have kitchen hours on the website. Kitchen closes at 9pm.

I might just be a simple man with a simple family. But my family and I think this place is a destination restaurant. We've had fish & chips all over - including New York City, Epcot, and Boston. But this unassuming restaurant astounded us with their fish and chips. Our server tells us that they get their fish fresh every morning, so that might have something to do with it. We will be coming back here for sure.

Went to brunch- the Bloody Mary bar is a hit IMO. Service and food great. The booths are comfortable and cozy.

It was my first time here. I'm a musician and came to hear a friend's jazz trio and was very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the Magnolia 525 Tavern was.

We got married in Gloucester and chose to go to Magnolia 525 for a big combined family dinner a few days before our wedding. When I called, I was put in touch with who I later found out to be the owner. She was simply amazing to work with to set up this big (20 ish people) dinner. They set us up on the patio outside and we had a great dinner. The service was excellent, and the food was great. We had the best time there and can’t thank them enough for their hospitality.

The service was great. Our waitress was very attentive. The food was really good. I especially liked the loaded nachos. And for drinks I tried the pumpkin martini and the brownie batter martini and they were yummy. The atmosphere was very relaxed. They even have throw pillows in the booths. Very comfy. I would definitely eat here again if I ever found myself in the area.

We had a reservation, requesting a booth, and were seated right away. The atmosphere was fun, with live music and friendly patrons. The owner's son, Tyler, was our waiter....very attentive , what a good job he did! I had the harvest salad with grilled shrimp (so many shrimp ! ) and dining companion had the swordfish (yum). Food was fresh and well-prepared. The atmosphere was so comfortable ...and the pizza looked excellent, also. A good choice, for sure.

525 is an absolute gem in the Magnolia neighborhood of Gloucester. The food, service and atmosphere are truly exceptional. It's a place that feels like family, and we are so blessed to have them at the center of our community! Oh and Larry's sauce??? Forget the North End! Run don't walk whenever you see it on the menu! It is one of the most divine red sauces I have ever tasted, especially when combined with his eggplant parm!

We have been going to 525 since they first opened. We have always had a positive experience!! The food is always great and the owners Tammy and Larry are very professional and work incredibly hard to please the customer! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming!! Very clean too!!

Food delicious! Pizza was great, cooked perfect! The service could be worked on. We went on a Sunday and it was us and 2 other tables. The waitress was running around like crazy forgetting things. She ordered the wrong thing for my husband, and we had to wait longer. I'd try it again, for sure because the food was good. I know sometimes ppl have an off day. Decor is nice!

Not overly crowded for a Saturday night but service was not good. We waited over 15 minutes just for someone to come take our drink order. My wife ordered a coke (flat and all syrup it went back) 2 waters and a beer. That took another 8 minutes to get. She then would take another 8 minutes to come back and take our order. We already knew what we wanted in the time it took for her to get our drink order. Food took a long time to come out. It was frustrating seeing other parties who got there after us get their food before us. Food was sub par at best. My wife’s order was wrong and they forgot fries on my fathers order. Waitress just seemed distracted. I’m from Gloucester back home visiting my family and I always try local places. This was a disappointment. I didn’t want to embarrass my parents so I paid and walked out. Maybe it’s good, maybe it was an off night or just maybe it’s just not that great. For the price I paid there I was highly disappointed.
