Super quick, friendly staff. A go-to when the craving for Chinese food strikes. Bartenders are always great.

We've driven by this place many times and after more than two years, we decided to give it a try. The outside of the restaurant makes you think the inside will be a fast-serve cafeteria style place, but we were pleasantly surprised. Dimly lit, surprisingly modern decor, and very clean. They have a full bar, but they have one of those seasonal liquor licenses, so we couldn't order cocktails. Seriously, seasonal liquor licenses just need to stop. Give these small businesses a break. Anyways, the menu was huge having Japanese, Vietnamese, and Chinese cuisine. The sushi menu alone was massive. I had the chicken pho. It was quite good, though the consistency of the chicken was a little odd. The flavor of the broth was on point though--and that's coming from a guy who used to live in the Vietnamese area of Dorchester and had pho often. The shumai was terriffic, and so was the miso soup, though it could have been served a little hotter. The server could not have been nicer, and attentive. Overall, we enjoyed this littler place very much and will return.

The female owner of this establishment was loudly and angrily berating a male server! I will never return to this place. The way they mistreat their staff is appalling. Every employee deserves respect, rather than being subjected to arbitrary verbal abuse by their employer.

This is the best Chinese around not the best I've ever had but my husband and I can split and plate and an order of crab Rangoon so the portions are good.

Quite an interesting experience last night. First of all, food is great, the wait staff is great, however last night the bar tender and the person at the cash register, I'm assuming the owners were screaming at each other almost our entire visit. Very visible that they were in a fight. Just wish I knew Chinese to figure out why. Wish they could have controlled themselves so our experience was better. Will not be back but would order take out.

I took my family here for dinner tonight. We had very delicious food and very good Mai Tais, thank you to the male bartender. But also feel bad for him, The Asian lady sitting in the last seat at the bar, you are really rude. We heard your entire conversation with the male bartender. I can tell you categorically that everyone deserves respect and this Asian lady is a disrespectful lady. Maybe your parents didn't educate you. First of all, it's none of your business. You have no right to teach an experienced waiter how to serve customer. You just sit there quietly and eat your food. The male bartender was racially profiled and he had the right to demand an apology from the customer. If the customer refuses to apologize, he has the right to refuse service to the customer. The bottom line is that you have no right to threaten the restaurant owner into firing the male bartender because he made the right choice. Also, I can't believe how rude you were to this male bartender by saying that you should go back home instead of working here. This is my first time commenting here in two years of visiting Midori! This lady is really very rude, I hope Midori can keep this great employee, he is very patient and friendly. (He keeps the bar very clean and tidy and I really appreciate that he considers the health of his customers)

This was the worst Chinese food I've had in years. I gave it two stars because The Szechuan chicken looked amazing, but had zero flavor and zero spiciness it might as well been dipped in cold tea water. The fried dumplings were disgusting, greasy flat and soggy. I've attached a picture of what I got and what they should look like. The fried rice was equally as disgusting and greasy.

Consistently excellent waitstaff. Best Hot & Sour soup on Cape Ann. The Teriyaki-Tofu is silky and delicious. They have a full pan-Asian menu. And a bar in case you need a Maitai. Midori is my Go-To Asian on the Cape.
