Kind of a love hate thing here. Their food is good-great. Their coffee is amazing. Their wait staff is sometimes nice but also kind of like folks at a yoga studio. There is a lot going on here. The interior is cute. I can't decide if it is worth the general moodiness. But also, people get to have feelings. And it is a nice place.

What a cute and cozy coffee shop! They have a good assortment of pastries and ample seating. The barista was very kind and the service was great! Definitely a nice place to work from.

This is a great bakery in a tricky spot, there's been a lot of different shops in this location and I'm so happy to see these ladies having great success. The baked goods are divine. Cinnamon coffee cake, hand pies, cupcakes, and especially the biscuits. (Maybe slightly salty) and the biscuit breakfast sandwich is absolutely amazing. So so good. A big bite, but totally worth it. Yum and then some.

Cute place but orders take too long. Also, had to request a quiche to be warmed up. My coffee was terrible. But the atmosphere and staff are nice !

A true gem in Gloucester. Everything is delicious but be warned- The biscuits are insane. The original, the jalapeño cheddar, the dill- they all are out of this world! And a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit- it's a whole other atmosphere.

We've had the pleasure of having cakes from Source Bakery for multiple birthday celebrations, and most recently our wedding! They have always been so delicious! We love visiting their bakery for yummy seasonal pastries, and seriously, the best breakfast sandwich we've ever had! You'll surly enjoy a visit to Source Bakery!

Great biscuit sandwiches for picnic on beach; tasty, substantial and held there shape. Friendly service.

Biscuits are delicious - crusty outside and super moist and flavorful inside - and the egg sandwich is definitely a hearty portion! Staff, especially Kevin at the register, are super friendly. And, the coffee is usually great! (Sometimes the team brews it too watery, which is a shame when they are using the BEST beans ($25/lb Little Wolf beans out of Ipswich) but when they do not water it down, it is so yummy). Quiche I would argue is overcooked so I stick with the biscuits...The only thing I would love to see is a more light, refreshing decor/interior of the bakery. I believe the owner is growing the business slowly, prioritizing the food and its quality over aesthetics, and so any kind of rehab is probably on hold while she continues to gain a following and revenue (this is my assumption...). BUT I hope she continues to grow and finds the resources (and the interest) to make it fresher inside. Do not get me wrong, the space is huge and spacious which is great, but when I think of the interiors of other bakeries I love (sandpiper, bonny breads, etc), Source has some work to do. I think even if she painted the walls a lighter color, replaced the tables with some interesting bistro tables and chairs (maybe even Parisian style ones!) that would make a huge difference...

Do you enjoy buttery pastry and jam?Would you like a sky-high cheddar biscuit, moist on the inside with a sweet little crunch on the outside?Could you use a crumble?Or a sea-salt-sprinkled chocolate chip cookie? We tasted love, butter, and fresh local ingredients in every bite of every treat from Source. If you have ever heard of Gloucester, you are close enough to plan a trip just for the baked goods. We did. We bought a box of goodies before hitting the beach, and we left the beach in time to buy more before heading home. Not beach-bound? The table space is cheerful and immaculate. So jealous of the Gloucester locals! I am still dreaming of the hand-pies.

Would give more stars if I could, best breakfast sandwich ever! I only had the one item, but I have a high level of confidence that everything on the menu will be made with the same attention to detail and quality. If I lived in Gloucester, I’d be a regular for the rest of my life!

The best option in Gloucester, period, for baked goods and a simple breakfast sandwich. Very cool spot that is off the beaten path. The menu is limited which is a plus in my opinion. They make a few things really really well at a very fair price. If you are looking for an oat milk, steamed latte and a crummy bagel, head to Starbucks but if you want an incredible breakfast sandwich at a fair price, then come here.Everything is made in the kitchen from scratch. This obviously limits the menu but what they offer is incredible. And just to wrap up, the service is warm, attentive and friendly.

Stopped in before a work event and had the breakfast sandwich and a blueberry hand pie...came back two hours later with coworkers and had the coffee cake; this place is just that good! The biscuit is fantastic: slightly crispy exterior and fluffy interior. The hand pie was phenomenal as well. The coffee cake was good - the other two items stood out more - but then again, my taste buds may have just been desensitized by all of the carbs I had within a few hours. Highly recommend and will definitely return! Lots of seating inside and great for small groups too.
