Tucked away in Grafton, MA, the Town House Tavern might surprise you—not with a vast menu of entrees, but with its unique charm, extensive selection of drinks, and light, simple fare that complements an evening out. This isn’t your typical tavern with a full kitchen; instead, it specializes in creating a welcoming, convivial atmosphere where the focus is on enjoying good drinks and good company.Upon entering, you’re greeted with a cozy ambiance that combines rustic touches with a comfortable, laid-back vibe. It’s the perfect backdrop for unwinding after a long day, catching up with friends, or enjoying a casual date night. The staff here are known for their friendly and engaging service, making you feel like a regular from your very first visit. What the Town House Tavern lacks in a full kitchen, it makes up for with an impressive selection of wines, spirits, mainstream beers, and microbrews. Whether you’re a wine aficionado, a craft beer enthusiast, or someone who appreciates a well-made cocktail, you’ll find something here to suit your taste. Complementing the drink selection are simple yet satisfying snacks like popcorn and pretzels, ensuring you have just the right amount of nibbles to accompany your beverage of choice. While you shouldn’t come expecting a full meal, the charm of the Town House Tavern lies in its simplicity and focus on quality drinks and a warm, welcoming environment. It’s a place where conversations flow as freely as the drinks, and the lack of a full kitchen is hardly noticed amid the laughter and stories shared across the bar.For those looking for a relaxed spot to enjoy a drink in Grafton, the Town House Tavern is a delightful choice. Its focus on creating a friendly, inviting space where guests can enjoy a simple night out is what sets it apart. A visit here is a reminder that sometimes, all you need for a good time is a great drink and great company.

Came for a private event so difficult to rate service and food. But, the place Looked great and the space was a perfect setting for a Friday night bar scene. If I lived closer I would check it out.

40 BED BUG BITES RECEIVED IN ROOM #4; INN IGNORED ALL OF MY MESSAGES TO DATE (over 1 1/2 months). I stayed August 12th night and spotted a random insect on my pillow. I took a good look at it and then assumed that a bed bug would not be that large—plus it was an expensive room with great reviews, mostly rated 10/10 recently. After checking out early August 13th morning, I immediately began scratching at my right thigh during my long drive to Maryland. August 14th I was awakened in my sleep at 3am by itchiness everywhere, from my forehead (which looks like knots, as if I had been hit in the face) to my feet. I then did an online search for an image of a bed bug, and instantly confirmed that the bug I saw in Room 4 is a bed bug. I messaged The Grafton Inn through the booking website's thread that they had initiated with "We look forward to your upcoming stay with us." I wrote them a total of 3 times there, and when I copied my concerns to an email to them, the email bounced immediately. I wanted to give them the opportunity to make things right but I have received no response; they have ignored me for 1 1/2 months now. I suffered with a severe reaction to these bites for 6 days, and I wouldn't wish that pain, itching, burning, and stinging on my worst enemy. This is particularly aggravating because I see that The Grafton Inn almost always responds publicly the SAME DAY as reviews left for them. They simply did not answer their phone when a booking site agent tried to contact them on my behalf. This is beyond unacceptable.

We were in Room 9, which was spacious with two queen beds. Room was clean and comfortable - a little bit worn (rug needs stretching and the bath sink wasn't draining well). The AC did an excellent job on this hot day; and had an even low sound which completely blocked the sound of the clock chime. I was very surprised to hear how loud it was when I woke and took a walk the next morning. I think I would probably do ear plugs or white noise of some type if not summer and I got a room on the side of the clock tower. The owner is very welcoming This was a stop while traveling from Maine - and I have to say that the gem of this in is the Grille and Tap. We've been doing the Maine run for years and one of the tough parts has always been wandering out after 8-9 hours of driving to find a restaurant. I'm hoping I can find the Grille separate on here as it was outstanding.

Arrived to a charming, quaint Inn. 1805 in the heart of the public square centre of town. Our room however... window AC so loud could not leave it on. We turned it off and back on every hour on the hour when the very loud church bells rang (right beside the Inn). Literally no sleep. The TV was spotty at best (room 4) staff came up to help get it going. Room small, Bathroom small with a good shower. Overlooks public sq. Beautiful little town, lovely walk. If you need sleep after a long day/drive, not happening.

The owners will sincerely take the time to make sure the patrons are having an awesome time. They’re very approachable and friendly while also exhibiting ownership of a bar they clearly have put a lot of thought into. They also have a HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE very cool patio where customers can go outside. Definitely recommend this place. Hoping a food truck in the near future ;) Wheels

My parents stayed at the inn while visiting us from Florida. They had a great stay! The room was very clean, especially the bathroom, and the service was exceptional. The location was perfect, with easy access to the common and our house. We would highly recommend!
