We hosted my mom's surprise 60th birthday here in December 2022. Tim and his team are fantastic. He was helpful in designing a menu with vegetarian and gluten free options and was always very quick to respond to emails. I live out of state (in NC) and was worried at first about planning an event almost 1000 miles away and Tim made the process seamless. When we arrived at the host stand with my mom and said the "code word" to the host, he immediately knew that we had the birthday girl with us and led us upstairs, maintaining the surprise the whole time. The bartender at our party was friendly and attentive. The buffet came out right on time and we received a LOT of compliments from guests on the food (especially the chicken parm sliders and mac and cheese). The whole event went better than I could have imagined. We strongly recommend Barking Dog Ale House for your events!

I came for a private party in their upstairs area but the waitress that was serving us was great. Fast service & she consistently checked in to see if I needed anything else. I wish I could remember her name but I'm drawing a blank. I don't live in the area but if I ever travel that way again & need a place to eat/drink/hang out, I'll come here!

The wait staff was above excellent. My son had the shepherd's pie. And I had a delicious quesadilla! Yum! And the seasonal ales are extremely tasty! They even let you try them before you commit to a whole beer!

This place used to be great, however. The manager seems to be racist. My husband and I have experienced as well as witnessed his racial profiling and stereotyping African Americans and Latinos. Some of the staff, especially the bartenders seem to be under the influence. If you're a person of color, don't waste your time.

Stan, the bartender, is quite literally one of the kindest most gracious human beings we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Three times we have been to this restaurant and three times his charisma and awesome music song choices have left us in awe. It’s very rare that I post reviews about restaurants/bars but this guy is absolutely one of a kind and goes out of his way to create an atmosphere that is second to none.Thanks Stan!!!

Second or third time I've tried going here an hour before closing and they hit me with "closing up early" when there are five plus people at the bar, on top that I've had awful experiences with the bartenders in the past, plenty of better places right across or down the road, hard pass

This is a solid spot. Nothing fancy typical pub, but it's in an old bank so the inside has an interesting design. The food is always bomb. Tasty, plentiful and a good value for the portions! Staffs been consistently friendly and lovely.
