Good food in a dirty restaurant. The food at the Derby St Hingham location is consistently good. Their bowls and burritos are made without skimping on the ingredients. The issue is dining area is always dirty. The tables are never cleaned, trash is always overflowing and the utensils / self serve drink area is littered with trash. I would not comment on this if it was simply one bad night. It is always like this.Lines are usually long but move quickly. I’d recommend this location for takeout only.

4/2024 Chipotle Hingham- sad to say …I was very hungry and craving Mexican food - I was shocked at how dirty the floors , some tables and especially where all the food was all around the containers and the food looked stale. I left . It’s more upsetting because I’m celiac GF and a vegetarian so I have limited places to eat ! I had been so happy when they opened near me . Did they change hands it used to be clean!The owner responded to my review! when I tried to get in touch with them as requested it was very complicated -see pictures of confusing responses .(I would not give them certain permissions. )You don’t seem vested in your business anymore! No one is obviously overseeing your dirty restaurants. It’s been told to me that your new Hanover chipotle Mexican Grill has been filthy since it was opened to the point where the people I know wouldn’t even eat there! You’re losing a lot of business!. I was in marketing research. How are you gonna get us all back as customers ?It’s upsetting to me because I love your menu and my special diet limits where I can eat.

If you order a burrito bowl, they have recently started giving you roughly half of what you paid for. They don't even try to hide it, you just get half of a bowl instead of the whole thing. Must be a penny pinching cheapo manager. I'm done with this place, there are better local Mexican places near by.

Drove all the way from Plymouth during the Black Friday rush to get some actual good Chipotle. Unlike Plymouth they were STOCKED with meats, cheese, and beans. Everything was topped off and it it wasn’t they were making it! Plenty of heads on working and they were fast, made the food just to our liking. All during a very crazy Black Friday rush. I am so stoked we took the drive because we were craving it. This team handles rushes like a boss. Everything is fresh and we cant wait to get home to eat.

There was a hair in my burrito bowl so I asked them to make it again… Then in my new bowl there was another hair.. They don’t even cover their hair or beards here, so if you want a taste of somebodys nasty hair this is the place for you. but its honestly disgusting how unclean this place is.
My online payment didn't go through (app issue) so app said pay at pickup. I went to pickup and they couldn't find my order in the system (I had a confirmation). After a few back & forths I asked if he could type the order in again as I knew the order. He said no he couldn't help me. And I ordered quesadillas so standing in the 30-40 person line wasn't an option. Boo :(

It felt like the carne asada had a personal vendetta against moisture. I mean, seriously, was the beef sunbathing in the Mojave before making its way into my burrito bowl? It's wild, because Chipotle and I, we go way back. We’ve had some good times. I've enjoyed mouthfuls of perfectly seasoned, juicy delights. But this? This was like trying to chew on the sole of a cowboy boot. I get it, everyone has off days. Maybe the cook was distracted, maybe he was watching a sad movie scene and overcooked the meat out of sheer emotion. But come on, guys! This isn’t amateur hour. Chipotle’s supposed to be the big leagues of fast-casual dining. So yeah, still love you Chipotle, but that carne asada? Woof. Let’s not do that again.

The food was decent, not as fresh as I’d expect from Chipotle though. There were plenty of employees working, but the line still moved very slowly. The worst part was the mess on the countertop. The entire assembly area was covered with spilled food and it looked like a bowl of toppings had been dumped over the counter near the register. I’ve never seen anything like it, and the staff didn’t even seem to notice.

Let me start by saying Chipotle is one of my favorite go to places when I want a basic burrito and I don't have much time to eat. So I have been to several locations. Two things stuck out with this one. First, I asked for a burrito and after the employee warmed the tortilla, he placed it on the counter. He then removed an empty container from one of the bins, placed the bin on my tortilla and finished switching out the container. He then proceed to make my burrito with the same tortilla which had water and remnants of old food on it. I pointed it out and asked for a fresh tortilla which he gave me.Second, the overall cleanliness was probably the worst I have seen. The counter next to the register looked as if some spilled a burrito bowl on the counter and hadn't been picked up yet. I even made a comment about it and the employee working the register acknowledged it but did nothing about it. I ate and checked afterward and the counter looked the same. Hope management catches on because these can be very problematic if these kind of issues continue.
