I'm 72 years old. I grew up and still live in Mass. I've had hundreds of lobster rolls. Boston, North Shore, The Cape, Maine. Today I had the BEST LOBSTER ROLL EVER! How good? Fresh as could be, and not enough room in the perfectly toasted roll. Like a big big pile of lobster. Plenty of choice tail and knuckle meat. Light on the mayo. As pure and scrumptious a lobster roll as you can imagine. Plus the most friendly proprietor. Her name is Lorraine. Tell her Moe sent you. The Weymouth Lobster Pound is inside of Previte's Market, an excellent market by itself. Now I definitely need a toothpick.

The lobster pound is inside a market and has only a 4-6 foot presence, but they are able to work miracles in that space. Lots of seafood to go and cook at home, but since we were coming from Boston to the Cape we needed food ready to eat. The lobster roll and clam chowder fit the bill. Both were amazing and just outside the store there are places to sit and eat. Definitely would come back next time we are traveling this area. As a bonus a bakery is next store to put the icing on the cake. Enjoy!

it's more of a take-out place but they give you a lot of LOBSTER for the price! and when you are looking for a lobster roll in this part of MA this is the place to go!

Lorraine runs a fantastic business. I always call ahead and I've never had to wait! The prices are on point and the food is delicious. It's inside Previte's Market on the Hingham/Weymouth line and the parking lot can be a bit dicey, but that's not anyone's fault! The fish counter is always bright, clean, enticing and the prices are fantastic. The shrimp dip is a favorite in my house. Try it. You'll be glad you did!!

My son and I ordered jumbo lobster rolls...they were average at best. The price was jumbo by comparison to other restaurant.

Lobster bisque is tastes like Cambell’s tomato soup rather than the way it should be made. Stuffed clams were very plain. Asked the person to cut my cod and she refused to cut it the way I asked. No thank you, I will not be coming back. Much better options.

Best hidden gem in the south shore area. My friend introduce me to this awesome place for lobster roll and clam chowder. The lobster roll was filled with lobster meats, I chose butter style (not mayo and they have that too). Roll is small for $14 and jumbo $23, I went for jumbo of course. The clam chowder was one of the best I've ever had! Lots of clam meat and bacon, not too much potatoes. I also bought Lobster Bisque to-go which has lobster chunks on top. If you're in the area, make time to check this place out. Parking is limited, so best not to go during lunch time.
