This place really makes just excellent bagels. I LOVE bagels, and I just spent 3 weeks in NYC, having bagels in all the "best" NYC places. The bagels were good, but I really think the comfort bagels are just better, and NYC really made me appreciate this! My personal favorite at the moment is salted rosemary. Here are a couple of suggestions for improvement of an already excellent place:-offer more milk options! Right now the only cow milk option is half & half, it would be great to have just regular whole milk as option.-whole wheat bagels! Especially for those of us who want to be careful with their blood sugar etc but still enjoy a good bagel :-)-espresso drinks would be so cool, but this one is probably harder to implement

First time at Comfort Bagel today. New favorite place! The parking is ample and the entrance is welcoming. It is an old mill building, I love the location and atmosphere. I appreciated the display case setup so you can actually get a good close look at the bagel offerings. From the first bite my husband and I were impressed. These are authentic bagels with a crisp exterior and soft interior. Yum!! The cream cheese was fresh and tasty. The coffee was strong and flavorful. There is ample seating. Service was fast and friendly. I noticed they had an online pickup area also, good to know. We had a wonderful time. We got more bagels to take home and share with family and friends!

BADMEAT & Brownie's Thoughts

I'll make it short and to the point.I'll go the good stuff first ?.Cool ? looking place.Staff super friendly ? ?.Bagel might be good.Couldn't really tell. Now the ? bad.Couldn't tell if the Bagel was good because whatever weird sauce they put on my ridiculously priced breakfast sandwich was just nauseating. Who puts sauce on a breakfast sandwich? And the person who came up with the recipe for this sauce has no pallet. It was just gross.Coffee was Coffee. I make better at home. The whole place had this Wannabe bougie atmosphere. Full of wannabe bougie Holyoke elites. And being born and raised in Holyoke myself I can tell you" Holyoke Elites "Is an oxymoronic concept.I've had the food 3 times. Twice someone else paid.but when I went myself ,and when i was presented with a better than 11 dollar cost for a underwhelming(at best) breakfast sandwich and a average coffee( at best) i was awestruck! Which is when noticed the only work boots I saw in the place were the ones I was wearing , I mean there were boots , I think they're called doc Martin's? Which any and all middle class working men love to laugh at. So if ya wanna pay way to much for way to little. And laugh at a Niche crowd of hipsters..this is the place for you. Bring the whole work crew. You guys will all get a good chuckle. And you're guaranteed to make at least half of the patrons uncomfortable..

No line at 830 AM! Best bagel in the valley. Rosemary salt for the win! Go early. I hear they sell out fast.

4 stars I have not stopped in but looking at the pictures the description of quality plus locally roasted coffee. Before this holyoke didn't have much except fast food and dinners. Looks like Springfield metropolitan area will pick up on more restaurants like this. If the downtown area gets a real investment from some outsiders. and a spiffy clean up it would get nice.

Wonderfully doughy bagels and super-fresh cream cheese draw folks from all over to Comfort Bagels’s cool loft setting in a former Holyoke factory building right on the canal. Plenty of seating indoors and out, abundant parking close by, and friendly and efficient staff make this a go-to spot!

The bagels here are AMAZING! They offer different flavors weekly and the cream cheese is delicious as well. My faves so far are the tomato basil and the Asiago parmesano with roasted veg cream cheese. The atmosphere is great too it has a clean and rustic feel to it. It has become a routine stop for me.

Comfort Bagel is my favorite breakfast spot pretty much in the whole valley! The bagels are amazing and the space they have in open square is inviting and funky. The rosemary salt bagels are to die for. Whenever we have any friends in town, the first stop is Comfort. If I had any critique, I wish ya’ll had hummus or another vegan/vegetarian option for spreads. But it’s hard to argue with the classic whipped! So glad y’all are around and I’m stoked to see the business growing!

Definitely the best bagels in the area! They've become a staple item for me to bring any time we have a big family get-together. Everyone raves about them. Also have been super nice when I've talked to them, and have a really easy online ordering system, so that makes getting an order in a breeze. Thanks!

We got married at Mill1 and it was SUCH a delight to find such an amazing bagel spot literally in the venue.Coffee is always fantastic with a wide array of self serving syrups.Delicious bagels and sandwiches. Excellent customer service. My husband and I live in NYC, but everytime we are in the area we make sure to visit. I bought a t shirt last time :)

Comfort Bagel has such great bagels that I have my parents pick me up a dozen to freeze when they go and bring them down to Rhode Island when they visit because we just can’t get bagels this good in RI. The flavors are just one notch to the left of traditional in the best way. While still having both reliable favorites and out of the box options to try. Our standard order is 6 Asiago Parmesan for my husband and 6 Salted Rosemary for me. Everyone once in a while we’ll try something crazy. We haven’t started sharing them with our one year old yet, but as soon as we do I bet he’ll be a fan too. So grateful to enjoy these bagels in our little state that is full of great food but mediocre bagels. Glad to have Comfort Bagel just a quick visit from Nan and Grandpa away.

Not just a wide array of bagels to choose from but they also have different options for cream cheeses as well?!? I thought cream cheese was cream cheese, but Comfort Bagel just went to that next level with it. I haven't tried all of them yet but what i have tried was soo good. The coffee there is also delicious.

The Hey Hey Caprese sandwich on the Asiago Parmesan bagel is gloriously delicious. The bagel is soft and chewy in the middle with the perfect crisp on the outside. The mozzarella, tomatoes, pesto, and balsamic… just so good.I should have taken a picture to add, but I didn’t think about it because I was too busy eating it. Maybe next time, because there will be a next time!
