Ivory billiards has always been five stars in my book! However, I’m really bummed that they’re not open during the day anymore on the weekends. I would love to be able to bring my son down there and teach him how to play pool. It’s not really appropriate for a 15-year-old at night though. That’s my only complaint. Clean and smoke fee! The people are great! They sell drinks and some appetizers. Since they do not have a full kitchen they allow you to bring food in and they have menus of places that deliver. They do support APA League events as well as hold their own tournaments. If you can't find parking on the street in front then you can park in the lot across it.
Not from the area, live in upstate NY but was in the area and went because I play 3 cushion billiards and there are so few places to play billiards. Place was very busy, especially for a weekday night. I rented the single table in the place and before long another customer asked me if I gamble. I initially told him no but after a minute I said I'd play him a game for 5 bucks.Had a good time, by the looks of this place pool is not dead in Holyoke.
