The food here is amazing! Great quality and big portions. The staffing is small but they are very friendly. You have to come here! A comida é muito bom!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I never write bad reviews but if you want awful customer service and professionalism, this is the place for you. I had them scheduled for over a year to cater my wedding. It was one disaster after the next. Starting off with the scare a month before that they didn't have insurance for my state to cater even though they knew they needed it a year in advance. They will have no answers to your questions, try to put rectangle table covers on circle tables, and long story short they will hang the phone up on you abruptly. This was the nail on top of the head for me. Get this the day before I cancel them, they tell me they actually couldn't get the linens and place settings anymore. So skips this one brides!!

Super old school restaurant, really authentic Portuguese food that was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had the braised goat special and it was the most satisfying thing I've eaten out in months

Loved the Shrimp Mozambique. Nice fresh beer on tap. It was busy on a Saturday, with one server. She was fabulous and served me quickly and professionally. Kitchen staff was churning out wonderful looking dishes quickly and beautifully. I will be sure to stop in again when I get back to the area.Parking: Smaller lot at restaurant. Another lot directly across the street.. about 100' walk from restaurant entrance.

Mediocre food, was told that fish stew is cod but half was rough salmon. All I could taste was alcohol and potatoes were very undercooked.

No one greeted us when we came in . We seated ourselves. it wasn’t busy when we got there. Took an hour before we got our appetizers. Our chicken wings were the size of a quarter. The staff couldn’t handle the customers. The kitchen was the biggest failure to the restaurant. Never been so disappointed in a Portuguese restaurant. Would not recommend it to anyone

I went to the Old School House Pub and Restaurant in Hudson, Massachusetts for an early dinner. I have been going to this restaurant for approximately 5 years. I live about 50 minutes away and have felt that the drive was well justified based on my numerous positive experiences. This type of ethnic cuisine is not available everywhere. On this day I ordered a special, the octopus stew. For those that haven’t experienced this delicacy, I will state that it is a wonderful dish. A bit strange to eat the first time, but quickly becomes appreciated as a delectable hearty food. The dish arrived and looked and smelled wonderful. The problem was that finding the octopus in the potatoes was something of a challenge. The pieces of octopus were mostly small little tentacle tips mixed with a few (I didn’t count, but around 6-8) up to 13mm (one half inch) diameter pieces. I estimated that the dish included 3 to 4 ounces of octopus. In my experience this dish typically includes 2-3X the meat, including significantly larger pieces. I did eat some of the potatoes, and I can attest to the fact that the stew was delicious, consistent with what I have enjoyed in numerous USA and EU restaurants. Unfortunately, I must be carb conscious for health reasons and although I ate some of the delicious potatoes, I do have to limit intake. I would suggest a new name for this dish - Octopus Flavored Stewed Potatoes. I am already thinking about what I shall eat when I get home. One final note: Our waitress was friendly and attentive, although it was surprising when she picked up my dish which was at least 2/3’s full and she said nothing. One other point: The second dish ordered, “the catch of the day” (fish) was wonderfully prepared, apportioned nicely and delicious.

Food was FANTASTIC! Only one employee working front of the house, bar and tables, and restaurant side was closed, but he did the best he could. Hats off to him and the chef! We walked in with a six top and everyone loved the food!
