First of all shout out to the cooks and staff...food service and atmosphere was absolutely perfect. my family and I and wifes family all originally from Jamaica Plain after coming from Puerto Rico and felt good to be back in J.P.Top Mix J.P. now one of my favorites! with so many choices of food and drinks the big painting on the wall literally felt like we were in a restaurant in P.R. We had a great time!...We'll definitely be back!

I have been to Top Mix 3 times in the last month because I just love it. I just recently went two days back to back 3/15 and 3/16. The FOOD is DELICIOUS!! Service is great, and the ambiance is cool. I get to watch the game and eat good food. I also love the artwork and culture of the place.The food comes in a reasonable amount of time, and it is always fresh. I had way more pictures, but I thought I posted this already from the first time I went. So I only have two pictures from Saturday, 3/15. Anyways, I ALWAYS get the honey hot wings cause there BOMB and a mango mojito, which is delicious. I also really enjoy the monfongo with the Caribbean chicken. The plantins are always great as well.I will continue to come here and bring my friends. Highly recommend, great vibes in here.

If you are looking for a club like atmosphere, bar with drinks this is for you. But if you're looking to eat and looking for good latino food not so much. As a latino looking for good latino food was very disappointed. Ordered Mangu with Chicken got something else, had to wait 15mins for chicken to get made while everyone ate. The Mangu was dry and cold by the time chicken came out, tasted like a premade Mangu. Its an attempt to give latino food to probably non latino clientele. Drinks are small for the price. Not right to be forced to give 20% tip on very poor service.

Drinks are good, it's a nice place and all. But they cheat customers on tips without their consent. I tipped them 10% but they added more tip on that crossing 20% without my consent.I understand our tips help you but adding extra tips without consent is stealing.

Ok- so I’ll start by saying this spot IS what JP needed for a while! A spot where you can come to unwind after a long day of work (LOCAL) was much needed.1. Despise any negative reviews, The food is always on point! (Been here numerous times and have yet to complain)2. The portions are perfect!3. The drink are very well crafted. The bartenders are very professional and KNOW what their doing.4. The service isn’t horrible. We usually go during peak time when the place is super busy. So, we definitely don’t expect our server to come to us every 5 minutes. We see they try to take care of their assigned tables as best as they can.Word of advice: if you want SUPER fast service go to a fast food joint. Or do take out. A restaurant is where you go to relax and enjoy yourself. NOT RUSH.Overall, this WILL remain being THAT spot for my friends an I!

I made reservations and still had to wait a bit for our table. The waitress was cool but had to many tables so it was hard to attend ours. The music was too loud, you can’t even have a conversation. The mofongo was a bit cold. The bbq steak tips was good and lastly had coconut mojito it’s was decent . The ambience was ok . I’ll try the other location and see .

The food is always amazing. Very flavorful. However the proportions for the cost are a little off. Food is not cheap and they are constantly cheap on the meat lately. It’s not comparable to the amount of rice/ sides you receive. The starch is the biggest serving. Especially the steak tip entree with the fries & Cole slaw. You get like 4 small pieces.
