Came here twice and both times the food was reasonably great. I'm used to a high caliber version of Mexican food since I lived in California for a long time, but portions were fair (not excessive like California). Service was great and the staff were quick and very polite ... I ordered a chimichanga the first time and Queso Fundido and baja (fried tilapia) tacos the second time. I enjoyed all of it. ... the restaurant itself has a fun vibe without tacky murals or decorations you usually find in Mexican spots. My only complaint was the corn tortillas were a little weird, not really flavorful... aside from that GREAT PLACE

Based on the good reviews, I may have come on a bad day at a bad time? When we walked in the place was dead empty. It was around 3pm. That was the first red flag. The waitress was not exactly rude but just stone faced and very clearly did not want to be there. Looked rather young as well. I think this is probably their first job, or close to it. Doesn't know how to deal with human interaction yet. The food came quick. Alarmingly quick. The plates were so hell fire burning hot it could only mean one thing; microwaved. The taco shells were soggy, and at that point I had come to the conclusion the entire meal was microwaved on the plate and then served to me. The only saving grace here is that the restaurant was beautiful, the music was nice, and I could tell if it was served fresh the food would have tasted great. What a shame.

For us older folk the ambiance was pleasant but too dark to read the menu as the lights were too low.

Food was damn good. Surprisingly good. Our expectations were middle of the road and we were pleasantly surprised. The salsa served with the complimentary chips was no joke - loved the kick of the fresh cilantro! Both our meals were great - Chicken Fajitas and the house special tacos (menu purportes it's Grandma's recipe!) we're magnificently juicy and flavorful. Fresh onion and cilantro along with the green sauce and some fresh squeezed lime complimented the savory meat well. Margarita glass is beautiful. Compliments the atmosphere well
