I hate to trash a local business… I really do, but we are at our wit’s end trying to order takeout from Ixtapa. We’ve eaten here a lot over the years and takeout order accuracy has been hit or miss for a while, but it did get better for a bit. But then tonight, they left out half our order and when I called them once I got home, there was no offer to rush the order or anything. They’re remaking the stuff they left out and we have to come back and pick it up like it’s a new order. No apology. Honestly, sorry Ixtapa. We’re done.

We used to frequent this restaurant twice a month but had to stop eating here due to learning of horrifying business practices. When you sit they give you a basket of chips and a carafe of salsa. the last time we ate there we poured the salsa into the dish and found a price of chip in it. This indicated to us that they take the unused salsa from each table and reuse it. This is disgusting. Not eating here any more. Please don't eat here.

Being as I was visiting Boston,I tried to talk my boyfriend out of trying, Mexican food in New England. He couldn't resist. My quesadilla was fine. His nachos were, let's just say they weren't Texas nachos. Our server was fantastic.

We usually go to the Woburn location but met friends here this time instead. The food was similar to the other location but a bit different. Service was a little slow but very nice and accommodating. Drinks were slow and disappointing and different each round (even though we ordered the same thing). Come to find out the "bar" is in the basement by the bathrooms and there was no bartender in sight. Maybe servers are making drinks...? Either way, we'll be back but just order beer :)Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with coloring page and crayons. Lots of families.

We used to go here quite frequently but haven't been in awhile until last night. Everything was pretty much disgusting. I don't have super high standards for a burrito or a shrimp dish with rice and beans, but the carne asada was gristly, the flour tortilla was tough, and the shrimp was on the edge of "fishy" tasting. Fruit flies swarmed the table. Given how run down the place is, I can only imagine this was from dirty drains. Overall, this was a huge disappointment, because we have always really liked the place. It feels to me as if this location is on its way out.....

Overall it was really fun vibe here with great food and good service. The service was top notch with all our group needs met. It was great mexican food. I got a simple chicken quesadilla. The chicken was deliciously stuffed to the max.I definitely recommend it here if you in area. It's really a simple fun vibe.

Fun decor and theming. Delicious food, quick service, kind workers. Just driving through and needed food, great find!
The food was phenomenal !Chicken street tacos with refried beans, rice and guacamole. Tons of food that was packed with flavor! The ingredients tasted fresh as well as delicious. We ordered 3 meals and 3 alcoholic beverages which came up to 75 dollars (give or take) with taxes included.The server was nice and the wait time for our food was very short.This is a great little place to check out.

Went in for a drink prior to attending a function. Each got 1 drink, no food since we were eating later. We asked for another drink, we couldn't have one unless we ordered food. ?? The drinks cost more, how can you deny that? We left. Maybe there's a by law in that town or something, idk. So

This is a place that my wife and I visit fairly regularly. The service is great, (they customize my wife's fajita order every time without question), prices good, food and drink menu are both very good. Highly recommend this very comfortable place for your next night out.

Let's be real, this is a place that you need to come to for the food. The decor is just ok, but the food is outstanding! I thought I didn't like chicken mole or tamales because I had never liked them before, but both are delicious here. I'm mildly obsessed with their tamales and order a side of them every time I visit, which currently is weekly. Other dishes I've enjoyed have been the Chicken Enchilada Suizas, the ranchero salad, the chimichangas, and the nachos. The corn chips are fresh and house made, and the salsa is addictive, though my first impression was that it's too runny. Their pico de gallo is also delicious and very fresh, so if you like a thicker salsa, I recommend asking for that. The rice and beans that come with many of the meals are good enough to order on their own, and I normally wouldn't even eat it at other restaurants. From Ixtapa, I order extra so that I've got enough to bring for lunch the next day or so. The flan is also excellent! Very rich and creamy. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and I haven't tried anything I haven't liked, so I highly recommend checking them out the next time you're craving good Mexican food.
