Historic laboratory doing significant government work in multiple disciplines. People are hard working and dedicated to the mission. They take advantage of their association with MIT to hire brilliant young engineers. Some of the buildings, however, could definitely use a remodel, as they date from WW II.
As a kid growing up in Concord, my Dad worked at "Lincoln Labs" as we referred to his workplace. Since you had to be cleared at the entrance, we mostly waited in the car for him while he went in and did "whatever it is Dads do at work" stuff. So, I am mostly familiar with the parking lots but once in a while, we'd get to go in and "see" his lab. My Dad was a Crystallographer and grew crystals to be used in lasers, I think. My Grandmother works here and I'll go to son's day sometimes and I always have a good time. The work done here is amazing, and I will always remember the time I spent there
