This is our family go-to restaurant when we crave authentic spicy sichuan food. The portions are generous and price is reasonable. Many restaurant charges rice by the individual bowl. For my family this adds up to $10 just for rice. However Oxyear offers a large rice bowl at (i think) $2.50. The owner is so nice and often offers to refill for no additional charge. This is a hidden gem and I hope they will continue to do well.

The food and service is good. We were the only customer and it was between 6-7:30 pm that we dine. Serving is ample enough to share and we had tons of leftovers. Surely want to go back to try other dishes.Parking can be a challenge.

Food was phenomenal! Super spicy and deep flavor. The portions were generous. My favorite Sichuan dish is shui zhu yu and they had it. It’s listed as fish and vegetables in chili broth on the menu. I was not disappointed and I wish I lived in town so I could get it more often.My husband got the chili squid and he asked for it extra spicy. They accommodated but made sure to keep the balance of the flavors. It was so well cooked and the squid was buttery tender. My husband was super happy with it.My friend got the shredded chicken dish and it was love at first bite. The chicken was crispy outside but super tender and moist on the inside. Had a nice spicy kick.One thing that should be noted is that rice isn’t included in the entrees. They charge $2.50. Normally this would upset me because rice is such an essential part of the meal, but the food was so good, I don’t even care lol. 10/10 would recommend.

Every item I have ordered has been amazing. The owner is really friendly and always adds something for free to my order. Today he gave me a large rice and a large chili oil container they normally sell. The chili pork belly appetizer and the Dry Chicken are a couple of my favorite options, but everything on the menu is really good.
