Good food and good vibes! They serve authentic Khmer food and doesn't compromise the taste. My group of 4 ordered the Somlaw machu kroeung, meekathang, wings, and a bowl of rice. Everything was shareable and we had a good time. The staff are friendly and understandable. My friend did mention that she thought the soup was a little too salty. However, I don't feel the same. I'm really forward to eating the rest of the menu. It's a popular well-known Cambodian restaurant and I can say that it DOES live up to its name.,

We were in Lowell, MA to visit the national historic site here, so, of course, we had to get some Cambodian food afterwards to make the most of this excursion. We came here for an early dinner and the place was half full with a pretty random decor that feels oddly right. Service was hard to come by at first, and our initial waiter was not very polite, but then we get a new guy halfway through and he was pretty attentive. FYI, there's no alcohol on the menu. We did enjoy the food for the most part. The crispy egg rolls were indeed crispy and a nice start to the meal. The best dish by far was the Amok Trey, the national dish of Cambodia, which had this dynamite sauce that we were in love with. So perfect and light with the fish and veggies--unfortunately, it also had a couple small bones in it. The Loc Lac combo with fried rice was also really tasty, and while we appreciated the flavorful beef, we wish that there was more of it on the plate! The fried rice was the standard stuff you usually find. Overall, we're happy to have tried this place, which felt like a special experience in this particular city. While we have no plans to return, we'd recommend it as a destination if you set your expectations accordingly.

I'm surprised that they have quite a few vegetarian dish here. I ordered their eggrolls twice already. They're delicious! The tofu&veggies kathiew was good, it was a little on the sweet side. The only other place that does vegetarian kathiew is sizzling kitchen but I prefer the kathiew from here. I didn't really like the spicy dry megathung it was kind of bland. There's definitely other dish I'd like to try so I'll still give this place a 4 stars. :)

Everything about this place was great. The traditional decor, the smell of the food, the service, the food itself! I've had Cambodian food before but it's been years. First time having their traditional soup and it was so delicious. Ordered and app with wings and papaya salad. I honestly didn't like the salad but I can see why they do. It was just a little too cold and spicy for me. The wings were perfectly crisp and coated with sauce. The egg with fried and and beef was ?.

First experience with friends. The food was fair but some weren't good. The chicken wings were just plain and needed well done. 2 dishes we like are Amok Seafood and Mee Ka-Tahng. The waitress and service was lacking in the service mind and she wanted to explain how big the fish that we ordered but please don't talk over the foods. I don't know maybe today wasn't our day. Please note that about tip was automatically 20% with no options or asking. Honestly I always tips more than 20% but this place I don't think so.

I've been a long time and loyal customer at this establishment. They have always served up fantastic food here. I think the popularity and exposure got the best of them and are pushing out their local and dedicated customers to a point where they are increasing the prices that it is not affordable anymore. That's too bad because Sunday night 1/8/2024 will be our last meal there because $20.95 for a bai lok lak rice combo without a fried egg used to be $15.95 as it still states that on your menu pdf. It's marinated FLANK steak and flank isn't an expensive cut of beef. I brought up the price difference when I picked up my order and was told "we just increased the price". Talk about having a hard time swallowing that. If you don't believe me, talk to the guy that worked the counter Sunday night around 8PM or just look up the receipt in your system. I'm not supporting an establishment that's juicing their customers like that because you guys know for a fact that one of the most popular dishes there is the bai lok lak and you purposely increased the price just to get the most money out of that dish. You guys are probably reading this and most likely don't care about me not coming back ever because you will make up the difference anyway. Let's be real here, it's all about the money in the end.

cutie pie

Been awhile since we were last here, we used to frequent often. Not sure if they were short staffed due to the volume of customers, the energy wasn’t as welcoming. Not sure due to inflation, the quality and quantity kind of dropped, even though the price had risen. Our visit now may be once in a blue moon.

The food is great but the portions is smaller than before. Also they remove alot of dishes from the menu. This happens after the remodel of the restaurant.

Triple combo is one of my favorite: papaya salad with wings and sticky rice. We also got Chakrong with fried rice and fried egg on top. Mee Katang is also not bad. Food seems to be reasonably priced but drinks are WAY overpriced.. iced tea or iced coffee for like $8 a glass is insane.

Had a large group over at Simply Khmer- food and service was phenomenal. The ambiance is also really nice with a mini store selling books, handicrafts, and bottled sauces and some foods. Our server Xavier helped us choose items off the menu (and even suggested the banana leaf lemongrass curry fish which is off the menu and what was featured in the Taste the Nation episode with Padma Lakshmi). Everyone complimented the food and thoroughly enjoyed it. We also got the kreung fish and also the tofu as well as a number of other items to share. Would love to come back when we are back in town and we were so happy to have introduced this to our family members who live closeby - they will definitely be visiting again!
