I went to the newly opened restaurant El Pacifico in Central Sq. yesterday and got the baked scallop dinner, it was scrumptious. I can discern good food . Lynn needs a nice seafood restaurant where you can go and have sit down tables , they also serve steak . It's casual enough to go for lunch and an elegant atmosphere to go for a dinner with friends or for a Birthday celebration . There prices are reasonable and seafood is healthy for you .

I have 't had seafood this delicious in a while. It was all prepared in a simple fashion that let the flavors of the dish shine. The chef went as far as to make us a fresh risotto that was well worth the wait. The complimentary fresh mozzarella appetizer was a nice touch. I recommend serving it with just a sprinkle of sea salt. Everything else was perfect. We had the salmon and stuffed haddock.

I've never had Peruvian food so I was not sure what to expect, except that I was aware about how delicious Peruvian food is especially its seafood. I decided to try the Pescado a lo macho (take out order) which was a seafood dish which included shrimp, mussels, white fish, crab all in a curry like sauce. It was amazing- you can tell the seafood was cooked properly and the broth was phenomenal. It came with a side of rice and fried potatoes which were made to order (not in the photo. The total of this was $25 cash which I thought was a good deal as the portion was large and was essentially two meals for me. Definitely excited to try the other dishes.

This is a new restaurant that opened in downtown Lynn. They serve just about everything plus Peruvian food and so I ordered the Loma Saltado! I loved the taste and the aroma of this dish! I’m coming back for more! Good to see El Pacifico add more diversity in cultural restaurant food!

El Pacifico recently opened in the former La Fogata space at the pointed corner of Central Ave and WIllow St in Lynn. The place has nice painted artwork murals on the walls, table seating, counter seating near the kitchen and along the windows and a back room lounge & bar in the back. For food, they offer a variety of dishes including seafood, soups, salads, pasta, tacos, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, chicken, Peruvian chef's entrees, kids menu and desserts. The prices here are moderate, entrees in the $12 (burger & fries) to $45 (lobster, filet mignon) range. I stopped by for dinner recently on a busy evening. I decided to be seated along the window since I was solo and received prompt service including the hostess who took my order. I started out with a glass of bottled water ($3 plus tax) with a glass of ice & lime (no free tap water). I was also given complementary hot rolls and butter, which were pretty good. For a starter, the Fried Calamari ($14 plus tax) came with ample breaded and lightly fried calamari rings served with a cup of homemade tartar sauce (plenty of chopped pickles) and garnish. The breaded calamari was crisp outside and a bit oily and slightly chewy and actually better than others I've had this year. For dinner, I went with the Chicken Marsala ($17.99 plus tax) which was served over thin spaghetti and not linguine. This pasta dish was very excellent which had a crisp and seasoned grilled chicken breast over soft cooked thin spaghetti tossed with a fresh sliced mushroom wine cream sauce and topped with greens garnish & orchid. The portion was good and I finished my dinner. I passed on the offer for dessert since I already had baked goods earlier. The check with tax and before tip was $37.44 (cash price). They note that credit card fees will be added if using a charge account. Overall, a good filling dinner on a busy night and I headed off to go watch some fireworks after dinner.
