We were excited to try out Skinny Hanks. My coworker raved about the beef ribs and the name itself made me smile. Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed by our experience. The servers name was Elizabeth(I believe) and she was the only good thing about our lunch. The restaurant was slow with only two tables besides us. Our order came out super quick...I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Mac and Cheese and he ordered the Beef Ribs. The mac and cheese was hot but flavorless. The pulled pork was ice cold in the center of the sandwich. The ribs were scaly as well as cold. We didnt ask to have it reheated...... we settled up and boogied. 20minutes 50+ bucks. Ouchie

Subpar BBQThe brisket was overcooked and way too fatty.When I arrived to pick up my order I overheard someone complaing about the brisket from their order too! Pork ribs and mac & cheese were OK but overall would not recommend.

Place is legit!! Just got brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and sides. It was all. Bartender was very nice as well.

Ribs were fatty and dry. Chicken tasted like it was cooked 3 days ago. And possibly the worst cornbread I've ever had. Won't be back.

First time ordering from here. Food was great! My family and I ordered different plates to be able to try the different meats. Ribs, brisket, and pulled pork with sides of collard greens, beans, mac n cheese, slaw, and corn. Everything tasted great including the sauces. The reason why I had to give it 4 stars is because they forgot the corn and I ordered at a time when it was empty...early dinner day for us. Otherwise it would be a 5 star from me. I didn't bother contacting because I was already home and ready to eat when we discovered the issue. The food is delicious and I will order again from here. Oh, the cornbread was also amazing especially with the butter they include...the bread itself is better than many other places. Highly recommend.

Delicious ribs (St Louis style and deep fried) and they’re pulled pork tacos are excellent! Overall, great atmosphere!

I had the pulled pork with slaw, Mac, and cornbread, the wife had brisket with collards, cream corn and cornbread.Overall, very good. Pork was moist, great texture and flavor. We both liked the house BBQ sauce and she liked the Carolina Gold sauce. Brisket was tender, not too lean but, no gristle. Just how it should be served. Both plates were a lot of food. Slaw was sweet and Mac was a bit wet but I enjoyed both enough to finish each. Wife found the corn with a bit too much pepper. She slammed the collards - they were perfect. My only knock is on the cornbread. I love cornbread. This was good dense and the serving size was too small.Decor was cool. Loved the bike wheel light fixtures and pressed tin ceiling. Obviously a neighborhood joint, heard many regulars.COVID protocols were immaculate. Thank you.Server never checked on us though it did get a little busier after we arrived.Others may have rated this a 3-star experience. I’m getting older, there is the COVID. We will tip well and hope for a better experience next time. The food will bring us back.

So my husband just got home from picking up our dinner and nope, not again. Called at 5:15 and they were already out of ribs and mac and cheese. Ordered the brisket and pulled pork dinner plus the egg rolls and ta'coma tacos. There are 1.5 slices of pretty dry brisket and a decent amount of pulled pork, but the side of slaw is only 1/2 full and my tacos were supposed to have french fries but those never seem to have made it into the container and there is almost no filling in the tacos. Super disappointed.

I got to be very clear. The service here is truly unmatched. Every time I und up here I leave with a smile on my face and a full belly. Good food and friendly staff makes it an easy place to return to consistently. If you're smart, ask for Michael.
