J&R Restaurant and Bakery Reviews
Their food for the most part is good. But their paté koté is 1. Absolutely disgusting 2.there is barely any filling 3. The pate itself is filled with flour, like you can actually taste flour off the first bite. As a haitian I was completely disheartened as to why the one of our staple Street food was so terribly made.
I used to love that restaurant, the owner is nice and everything, even if the food never tasted that great but their portions were always fair and decent but now their food is more expensive and what they give u would not feed a bird,I like them but they won’t see me soon.

I am a Haitian Food expert and J & R is a very good choice. They have large portions and the food is always fresh. They do have their pro and cons. Pro's...they have the best marinated/ seasoned Haitian style fried chicken and turkey in the area. Many places do not marinate the meat but at J & R you can tell their is good preparation. Still, the Rice can be dry but tasty. They also have great tasting sauce another pro. Their griot is ok but I recommend the turkey or fried chicken....read full review
